Wow! WOw! WOW! Thailand is selected as the best country to live in as a foreigner in the world for 2023. The factors taken into account are quality of life, job opportunity, culture, living cost, healthcare, education and so on. I personally think there are some disadvantages such as the hot weather, language barrier, lots of mosquitoes, etc. However, English speaking of most Thai may not be as good as Filipinos, Singaporeans and Indians, but this shouldn't be a big problem. Political stability is good, even there may be some protests, but nothing serious. #bestcountrytovisit #thailandvisit

During my working flight to Malaysia in the past, I found myself seated beside a man from Saudi Arabia. We delved into a fascinating dialogue about Vietnamese culture, a topic he was keenly interested in due to his travels across Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, and now Malaysia. He posed two intriguing questions that seem to resonate with many tourists: 1) Shared Ancestry: "Do Vietnamese people share a common ancestor with the Chinese?" This question reflects a curiosity about the historical and cultural ties between Vietnam and China. Given my background in history, including military history, I was able to shed light on this aspect for him. 2) Cultural Practices: "Why is incense burned so frequently, and what is its significance?" While he hold immense respect for diverse cultural practices, he wondered if it might be feasible to establish designated areas for tourists to observe without being directly involved. Additionally, he inquired about the issues of monks (may be faked monks), including young ones, asking cash from everyone. This part of our conversation was more challenging for me to address. These discussions are not uncommon for me, as I often find myself in situations where I need to explain and bridge cultural understandings. It's part of the enriching experience of interacting with people from different backgrounds. Let’s share your experiences then we can discuss more, I believe that you and me always want to make a Vietnam better in our interational friends’s thinkings #lifelonglearning

In 2023, Indonesia holds the presidency of MIKTA (Mexico, Indonesia, South Korea, Turkey, and Australia) group. The Indonesian presidency is advancing three key priorities: Strengthening multilateralism, inclusive recovery and digital transformation. Indonesia will strive to raise MIKTA's profile as a bridge-builder in addressing global issues. During our presidency, we do not see MIKTA as an organization that focuses solely on global and regional issues, but we also want to bring together the peoples, cultures and arts of these four countries in Algeria. We need to promote cultural diversity, strengthen multilateral ties and spread information about the existence of MIKTA member countries among the Algerian people. We hope that this film festival will enable you to discover cultural diversity through the audiovisual arts of MIKTA member countries. #miktagroup #mikta
