March is a packed month for safety, health, and wellness awareness. For example, March is Red Cross Month. The seven principles of the Red Cross are humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality. Five easy ways to show support during Red Cross Month. - Become a volunteer at your local Red Cross chapter and help locally or travel with your local organization when services are needed. - Donate blood and platelets to help save lives. - Make a monetary donation to cover costs, such as medical supplies and food. - Enroll in a CPR, First Aide, or Lifeguard training course and become certified to assist during a crisis. - Raise awareness by showing support and sharing your stories during Red Cross Month using #RedCrossMonth on social media. You can read about their work on their publications page, including their FY23 annual report and FY2022 990, filed with the IRS. https://lnkd.in/eX8JhkSK https://lnkd.in/epFC3WCG https://lnkd.in/eeCnQMrF #publichealth #charity #volunteer #blooddonation

Today, as we celebrate Memorial Day, let’s take a moment to reflect on the true essence of this day. → It's not just about barbecues and long weekends. → It's about remembering the brave souls who fought for our freedom. → It's about honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice. A few thoughts on how we can honor our heroes: → Take a moment to remember and honor the fallen soldiers. Their bravery and sacrifice have given us the freedom we enjoy today. → If you know a veteran or someone who has lost a loved one in service, share their stories. Keeping their memory alive is the least we can do. → Find ways to support veterans and their families. This could be through donations, volunteering, or simply lending a listening ear. Let’s not forget: → Freedom isn't free. It comes at a great cost. → Today is a day to remember those who paid that cost with their lives. → Let’s honor them by appreciating the freedoms we have and by striving to make this world a better place in their memory. P.S. - How are you honoring Memorial Day today? #memorialday

It's #NationalDonutDay! What's your favorite kind of donut? Let us know in the comments. Every year on the first Friday of June, Americans celebrate National Donut Day to honor the Salvation Army Lassies, the women who served doughnuts to soldiers during the First World War to lift their spirits. This tradition began in Chicago in 1938. We "donut" know what we would do without all of our wonderful clients! #GJMAccounting #accountingandaccountants #smallbusiness

🥫 Food banks and nonprofits, do you have a Good Neighbor program? Our friends at Feeding San Diego have provided a great plan for you to follow, and the results are clear. 🌞 Feeding San Diego’s Good Neighbors program recognizes companies and community groups that commit to helping end hunger through food rescue. With an annual contribution of $2,500 or more to Feeding San Diego, your organization will be part of a community they call Good Neighbors. 👉 How do they do it? They work closely with their corporate and community partners to develop mutually beneficial sponsorship opportunities and fundraising campaigns. They also offer options to create co-branded merchandise, media, and experiences! 💲Every dollar contributed to Feeding San Diego helps provide two meals to a neighbor facing hunger. ✨Sounds great right? Visit their Corporate Partnership page to learn more. Duplicate this type of program so you can have year-round supportive donors and partnerships. Great work in action. https://lnkd.in/g2y6jCzw #foodbanks #community #communityengagement #nonprofit
We could not provide meals for families, kids, seniors, college students, or military families and veterans without the support of our corporate and community partners. Thank you to those who contributed in June 2023.
