Want to know how Linear Algebra is applied in computer games? Professor Elmar Eisemann, head of the Computer Graphics and Visualization Group at the TU Delft, demonstrates how Linear Algebra plays a crucial role in computer graphics, using the old school games Asteroids and Blasteroids as an example. How is a spaceship rotated on your game screen and how are the pixel colours determined? Find out by watching this video. Soon you will also hear from us about the programming exercise accompanying the video! https://lnkd.in/eB5-NkvF

UI enthusiast with talents in programming and graphics. I'm expanding my knowledge with Unreal and C++. I'm currently authoring a book as I find my place in the gaming industry.
Happy Tuesday! Back to our regularly scheduled programming. I've been developing my portfolio, showing off my skills. I need to find a job where I can excel with design backed with programming. Today's article is a pair with yesterday's Physic discussion. This article covers fluid dynamics, which can be more complex than soft bodies. #unity3d #unitydevelopment

if you use physics in Unreal, you should check Chaos Visual Debugger available in Unreal Engine 5.4. It is a very valuable tool that I cannot recommend enough Thanks Sergio Enrique Gardeazabal for all the time and effort you put in it :)
For about a year now , I have been working in a new tool within UE, the Chaos Visual Debugger (or CVD for short). I am happy to share that today, CVD was officially released in Beta as part of Unreal Engine 5.4 CVD allows you to record the state of the Chaos Physics Simulation, for later playback and inspection/debugging (or for live visualization while the game is running). Here is a detailed user guide I wrote showing what CVD can currently do (including known issues) https://lnkd.in/gTJiwj2T
