Introducing the PRIME Catalogue: Sharing educational tools to improve mathematical mastery for engineering students. With more than 300 videos, applets, and interactive videos spread across multiple platforms, PRIME needed a better way to organise and share their learning resources. Programme Manager Tom Vroegrijk and Coordinator Beryl van Gelderen, with help of the Open Education Fund, spearheaded a project to make their materials easier to find and more accessible, supporting lecturers and improving mathematics education for engineering students at TU Delft and beyond. You can find the catalogue here: https://lnkd.in/e4au7TR6 Use filters to choose a domain or material type (we like 'interactive' and 'math in the wild'), search by topic or the name of your favourite lecturer. #OEWeek, #OESF #OpenEducation #TUDelft #TUDelftlibrary

September 1-7, 2024 a school for students Baby Steps Beyond the Horizon is organized by students of Wrocław University, Ewa Damek from Wrocław University, Piotr Hajac from Polish Academy of Science and Jacek Miękisz from Warsaw University. Enclosed tyou find the poster of the school. The school will take place in Będlewo, near Poznań (Poland). It is dedicated mostly to the students of the third year of ``so called'' Bachelor's studies, Master and PhD students. The aim of the school is to show students various possibilities (outside their Alma Mater) before they start to specialize. The School will take place in a hybrid system and so students may participate both on-site and online. We expect that each speaker will present an elementary problem trying at the same time to give a flavor of what their field of mathematics is. The lectures are supposed to be understandable to students who have completed basic courses in calculus, linear algebra, algebra, topology, differential equations, probability theory, analytic functions, statistics, functional analysis. This means simplification, popularization instead of presenting the most recent or the most important results of the speaker. This is the webpage of the school https://lnkd.in/dpXrm9jM There are links to the previous schools and video recordings.

CERTIFIED VEDIC MATHS COACH |I help students overcome their fear of maths by simplifying calculations
How Vedic Maths Transforms the Way Children Approach Problem-Solving? 🚀📚 In today’s competitive academic world, strong problem-solving skills are key to success. As an experienced Vedic Maths coach, competitive exam strategy maker, and student mindset coach, I’ve seen first-hand how Vedic Maths can transform children’s approach to math and enhance their academic journey. Here’s how Vedic Mathematics makes a difference: ✨ Simplifying Complex Calculations: Vedic Mathematics techniques break down complex calculations into simpler, manageable steps. Children can learn these shortcuts quickly, allowing them to solve problems much faster, often without needing pen and paper. 💪 Building Confidence and Speed: Vedic Maths boosts students’ confidence. Once they realize they can solve problems accurately and swiftly, their fear of math diminishes. This newfound confidence positively impacts their performance in high-pressure exams. 🎨 Encouraging Creative Problem-Solving: Unlike rigid traditional methods, Vedic Maths nurtures creative thinking. The flexibility of these techniques allows children to approach problems from multiple angles, enhancing their logical reasoning and creativity. 🧠 Enhancing Mindset: Math anxiety is common, but it doesn’t have to be. By integrating Vedic Maths into their routine, students replace anxiety with excitement. It shifts their perception from "math is hard" to "math is fun and easy!" 🌐 Real-World Applications: Vedic Mathematics isn’t just for exams. It equips students with skills they can apply in everyday situations—from quick mental math to understanding advanced concepts more easily. 💬 What My Students Say: “Before learning Vedic Mathematics, I struggled with even basic calculations. Now, math feels like a game, and I confidently approach problems. It has truly changed the way I think!” – Arvi Bamne(Class 5th), International Public School, Bhopal. “Thanks to Vedic Maths, I went from fearing math tests to topping my class. All-round teacher teaching all-round citizenship, NESA Mathematics teacher, FA New B licence coach/Level 2 Referee theory/Swimming Australia Development Coach
This was the last question in my last subject at university. Many of today's Extension 1 students would have practice a similar question. Before 2019 it was a subject studied at university and partially in HSC Standard 2. Even for university business, engineering and pure mathematics major students it's a difficult question that even lecturers need to learn more to explain it well or find the easiest solution. Here is mine, after several mistakes and watching very animated and technical video explanations made by teachers, tutors or excellent students. I'm sure a good student can tell what the content is about. #maths #hsc #extension1 #uts #masters #advanced #statisticalanalysis #probabilities #algebra #normal distribution #binomialdistribution #youtube
