By implementing features such as fine-grained policy controls and Turnkey’s non-custodial private key setup, agents cannot access a user’s private keys, and are barred from taking specific actions by default, such as spending an entire user’s balance on a single transaction. This gives agents the autonomous ability to operate their own wallets while ensuring security and performance for the end user. Import on Turnkey is live! You can now transfer existing wallets to Turnkey in a secure, seamless way. WHY WE BUILT THIS Turnkey's wallet infrastructure enables teams to embed non-custodial wallets into their crypto apps. But millions of crypto users and businesses already have existing wallets. Import lets you import seed phrases or private keys to Turnkey-powered wallets in a highly secure way. HOW IT WORKS One of our biggest priorities was making sure that Import is secure from top to bottom, ensuring that neither Turnkey nor any intermediaries ever have access to the wallet’s seed phrase or private key. Here’s how that works:  1. User initiates the import process through a designated page in your app, establishing a secure channel between the client and Turnkey’s secure enclaves.  2. User enters their wallet seed phrase or raw private key via an iframe containing encryption credentials that only they have access to. 3. The iframe encrypts the wallet seed phrase and transmits the resulting ciphertext over the secure channel to the Turnkey enclave. Neither Turnkey, developers in between, nor your application is ever able to read the private key in plaintext. This encryption protocol is highly unique to Turnkey — and ensures that only the end user has access to their seed phrase. WHO IS IMPORT FOR? Customers like TokenSight are already utilizing our Import functionality to improve the user experience on their self-custodial trading platform. Users can easily import their Ethereum or Solana wallets into TokenSight to take advantage of their advanced trading features. Once imported, only the user can authorize TokenSight to perform actions using their passkey, which ensures that the end user is always in control of their wallet.
