In 1969, when black Americans were still prevented from swimming alongside whites, Mr.Rogers decided to invite Officer Clemmons to join him and cool his feet in a pool, breaking a well-known color barrier. *The Mr. Rogers Movie is called : A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. I'm excited! Taking the whole team to see it.

Beginning in 1958 I swam at various Chicago YMCA’s where white and black all participated in all activities including swimming.

I grew up in the South, Louisiana to be exactly, and all races were swimming together in 1969, even sooner. Where did this take place?
