📘 Dyslexia Awareness Week 📘 This week, we join educational communities across the nation to focus on an important issue: Dyslexia. Dyslexia Awareness Week aims to dispel myths, educate, and provide essential support to those with dyslexia—a learning difference affecting 1 in 5 people. 🌈 Why Awareness Matters 🌈 Understanding dyslexia is vital for fostering inclusivity and empowerment. Contrary to popular misconceptions, dyslexia is not a reflection of intelligence but a learning difference that requires specific teaching methods and resources. Remember, understanding and support can make all the difference. We are committed to ensuring that all students, regardless of their learning differences, have the opportunity to excel. 🔗 For more information on dyslexia and available resources, visit The International Dyslexia Association: https://bit.ly/45basJs #DyslexiaAwarenessWeek #GVfeeling

Most kids with dyslexia experience slow processing speed, meaning they need more time to absorb and understand what they’ve been taught. It’s not that they can’t learn; they just need that extra time. So, why is this so important? It’s because they need more time not only in the classroom but also during assessments and tests. It is important because when we give them the time to think, we also give them the opportunity to express themselves and bring out their best. When we don’t provide that time, they may feel stuck, but when we do, we see the brilliant answers they hold within. It’s still dyslexia awareness month. Let’s champion inclusive education and support all students in their unique learning journeys! #DyslexiaAwareness #EmpathyInEducation

📚 Dyslexia Awareness Month Spotlight: Meet Timothy As we near the end of Dyslexia Awareness Month, we're delighted to share a heartwarming story that exemplifies the transformative power of education and support tailored to meet the unique needs of students with learning differences. Today, we introduce you to Timothy. At an early age, Timothy was diagnosed with dyslexia. It wasn’t long before he started struggling in school. By 9 years old, he had already transferred to five different schools. None of them could help… Out of the depths of Timothy’s darkest hour came hope, determination, and self-confidence. Thanks to Educational Pathways Academy's founder, Molly Arthur and EPA's dedicated team, Timothy's life was forever changed.
