Understanding and predicting the evolution of wealth is essential to the success of our business. I’m excited to share the 2024 Global Wealth Report which provides valuable insight into the creation, distribution, and transformation of the world’s wealth. 

Over 10% of the $83.5 trillion transfer of wealth over the next 20-25 years is likely to be transferred to the next generation by women, emphasizing the need to understand the aspirations and ideas that women and the next generation will have for their wealth.

We often discuss the great wealth transfer occurring across generations. However, the great horizontal wealth transfer is often overlooked. Roughly $83 trillion is expected to be passed on within the next 20 to 25 years and a large chunk of that transferred within the next 10 years. Of that $83 trillion, An estimated $9 trillion of wealth will be transferred intra-generationally – or horizontally – be­tween spouses with the biggest horizontal and vertical wealth transfer taking place in the Americas.
