🍁 Happy Canada Day! 🍁 Wishing all Canadians near and far a Happy Canada Day! As we come together to celebrate our country, we can also mark a significant milestone in our relationship with Switzerland and Liechtenstein: the 15th anniversary of the coming-into-force of the Canada-EFTA (European Free Trade Association) Free Trade Agreement! It’s a day to reflect on our shared values and the progress we’ve made together. Canada and Switzerland have a strong bilateral trade relationship, and this agreement has been a testament to our commitment to furthering strong trade relations as well as mutual economic growth. In 2023, the two-way goods and services trade between our two countries reached CAD $18.3 billion. 🇨🇦🤝🇨🇭 📣 Did you know that there are 410 Swiss companies calling Canada their home, employing over 55,000 Canadians, and contributing $1 billion to our economy? These figures are not just numbers; they represent the collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit that drive our nations forward. Beyond this, and our bilateral trade in goods and services, Canada and Switzerland also share strong innovation agendas and cooperate with one another when possible. Image by G Poulsen on Pixabay
