A very good but frightening text… “Until recently, the regime lacked the power to prosecute its political enemies. Today it has that power. The regime interferes with the legal system’s operation to advance its political goals, corrupting the system in the process, even if the system functions normally when adjudicating non-political matters.” By analogy, the mainstream media is not always lying, but it is always advancing the regime’s interests. If ubiquitous propaganda is the consequence of the regime’s perversion of the media, lawfare is the consequence of its perversion of the legal system. Lawfare is the process by which the regime hijacks the legal system to win political struggles that it would lose in the political arena.

The #police should have to explain to a federal #judge. That the departments informant is more credible then the newspapers. Have #fun with that, to the #fool that made this #decision. If this behavior continues, you will likely be living in a nightmare. We will find out who this is, through discovery. Kansas Reflector Sherman Smith, This is beyond #hypocritical of law enforcement. Please file complaints to anyone who will listen and haul there bottoms into #court. If the #public is kept in the dark by intimidating bullies then there is no #oversight. This is #unacceptable to us. That means no fear of #meaningful legal action against this #police department. Judges don’t usually appreciate #public scrutiny. They don’t want to be embarrassed by having hundreds of frustrated people at there homes to peacefully #protest. Thank goodness they have the #courage to #publish this. Let’s hope the #citizens of #Kansas don’t stand up with this draconian reponse. Rest assure we will be keeping an eye on this. In a move alarming to journalists, First Amendment lawyers, and good-government watchdog groups, the Louisiana Legislature is moving to significantly narrow the state public records law with legislation that could remove the majority of government activity from public view. Sen. Heather Cloud, R-Turkey Creek, introduced Senate Bill 482, which includes language that “provides as an exception to the public records law for any records reflecting advisory opinions, recommendations and deliberations comprising part of a process by which governmental decisions and policies are formulated.” Read more below
