Without the support of a safe and stable home, summertime can be a particularly challenging time for children. But thanks to our Boys & Girls Club at UMOM, the youth on our campus can find a sense of belonging and support during the summer months. From 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, our club provides a safe and positive environment for children, complete with meals delivered by our Residential Dining Services. Here, kids can participate in a variety of activities, from tutoring to art, music, and physical education classes. Our priority is to build a strong foundation for our youth, offering opportunities and setting expectations, while also creating a fun and supportive atmosphere. With your help, we can continue to provide quality services and help our children find academic success, develop good character, and create healthier lifestyles this summer. Every child who joins our Boys & Girls Club also receives a free year of membership, funded by UMOM, to help them settle into their new home and neighborhood. Please consider supporting this impactful program and help us bring smiles to the faces of our youth at UMOM this summer. Empowering Orphans Through Education At God's Grace and Mercy Children Foundation, we believe that education is a fundamental right for every child, regardless of their background. We are dedicated to ensuring that every orphan we support has access to quality education. Quality education is crucial for orphans as it empowers them, opens doors to better economic opportunities, and helps them develop their personality and social skills. An educated child positively impacts their community, contributing to a brighter, more prosperous future for all. Proverbs 22:6 (NIV) says, "Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." By providing orphans with access to quality education, we give them the chance to thrive and reach their full potential, as God intends. Your support can make a transformative difference in their lives. Join us in this mission. Together, we can change the life of an orphaned child. Studies show that students with a bachelor’s degree earn an average of $1 million more over their lifetime than students with just a high school diploma. In fact, a bachelor’s degree is required for more than 40% of jobs, yet millions of children around the world, including thousands in our own cities, never finish or even make it to high school. Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights has declared education a basic human right, yet in sub-Saharan Africa, one-fifth of children between the ages of 6 and 11, one-third of youth between the ages of 12 and 14, and 60% of youth between the ages of 15 and 17 are not in school. In Nashville, Tennessee, less than 15% of students can demonstrate grade-level literacy at schools where 90% of students are low-income (Nashville Propel MNPS Report Card). But every day, many nonprofit organizations work tirelessly to change the narrative. So far, in partnership with phenomenal organizations—such as Develop Africa, Backfield in Motion, Build a School in Africa, and Kids Empowered by Your Support—Ubuntu For Humanity has been able to help build schools in Sierra Leone and Mali, donate renewable solar lights in rural sub-Saharan Africa, and sponsor the education of youths worldwide. Follow Ubuntu For Humanity and visit ubuntuforhumanity.org to learn more about these efforts to make education a reality for every child in our world. #nonprofit #breakthecycle #qualityeducation #ubuntuforhumanity #educationforall #educationforallchildren #humanity #love #children #ubuntuforall #nonprofitorganization #nonprofit #nonprofitforeducation #ubuntu #un #unitednations #sustainabledevelopmentgoals #sdgs #sdgs2030 #education #sdg4 #sdg4qualityeducation #schools #endpovertynow

Ruby Bridges is often remembered as a little girl, from a black and white photo, escorted to elementary school by US Marshalls. That photo was taken on November 14, 1960. But today Bridges is 69 years old, reminding us that the fight for civil rights was not too long ago—and it still on going. Access to education is one of the largest barriers those in historically underserved communities face today. Research consistently shows that children from low-income families are at higher risk of lower academic achievement, with girls facing unique challenges at the intersection of gender and poverty. Studies reveal that girls from impoverished backgrounds may experience increased stress, limited resources, and inadequate support systems, leading to decreased educational attainment. Support 318 Foundation's mission of closing the opportunity gap for girls in historically underserved communities through mentorship, immersive experiences, and sports by donating today at https://hubs.li/Q02kms5q0. #mentorship #nonprofit #shreveport #bhm

Bridging the urban-rural and generation gap In many parts of rural areas in southern Taiwan, a shortage of educational resources for children is quite common. As many of them are raised by grandparents or at least one immigrant parent, family communications can be hindered by age or cultural differences. Noticing these problems, BenQ Materials has been bridging the urban-rural resource and generation gap in Taiwan, not just by supporting science education in rural elementary schools, but now also by extending a helping hand to their sports teams. This year, we donated over 11,000 Xpore waterproof sports sets to elementary schools, empowering students and their families to stay active and healthy. In rural schools like Lintou Elementary in Yunlin, where grandparents or an immigrant parent are the primary caregivers, fostering meaningful connections between generations and cultures can be challenging. Recognizing this gap, Lintou took a creative leap by founding a swim team to encourage students and their grandparents to exercise together. Through shared practices and playful relay races, these families are forging lasting memories while cultivating healthy habits. Together, we're cheering on the families at Lintou and other elementary schools. Let's keep this wave of positivity rolling – by joining hands, we can build healthier, happier generations! #BenQMaterials #Xpore #ESGwithinnovation #Donation #SocialCare

Good Energy in Primary Schools: Fostering a Positive Learning Environment Part 1. From the moment students step into primary school, they embark on a journey of learning, growth, and discovery. While textbooks and lessons play a crucial role in education, there's another factor that significantly impacts a child's development: good energy. Imagine a school where positivity is contagious, where curiosity is nurtured, and where kindness is a daily practice. Such an environment is not only conducive to learning but also essential for shaping well-rounded individuals. https://lnkd.in/dzMjDWJs . . . #empowerwidows #empoweringwidowsinkenya #widows #kenya #goodenergy #solarkits #goodenergypeople #donations #generosity #grateful #changinglives #kwattswap #widows #positiveenergy #support

Another beautiful day working with Jessica Barnaschone & Babyzone down in Croydon 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Today Babbu continued with our focus on early mark-marking skills, but this time using pasta, rice and play dough. By incorporating these fun, everyday resources and items like spoons, bowls, sieves and rolling pins… you are helping children develop #FineMotorSkills and pincer movements which all help to strengthen little fingers, ready to hold a pencil! 🤔 Did you know…? 👉🏻 83% of teachers believed the disruption to schools due to the pandemic have greatly affected children’s writing habits. 👉🏻 The disadvantage gap index has increased from 2.91 in 2019 to 3.23 in 2022. 👉🏻 In writing, attainment fell from 68% to 55% for disadvantaged pupils and from 83% to 75% for other pupils. 👉🏻 Ofsted’s recent report said that “Some pupils were unable to hold a pencil, when they could do so before.” 👉🏻 A staggering 46% of children are not “school ready” aged 5. Babbu is committed to making #earlyyearseducation EASY, ACCESSIBLE & FUN.. so that all children are given the best start in life 🚀 🍼 🚀 It costs £30 per family to host these amazing activity days… each week Croydon supports 200+ families.. that’s £6k. If you can donate, please do 🙏 The work this charity is doing is life-saving for some families. A chance to beat isolation. A chance to learn vital skills like first aid or pelvic health. A chance for their children to play outside with their peers, or listen to stories in English. Link below ⬇️ to donate!!! https://lnkd.in/e8wDn2-D
