Today’s colour for my selfie….vibrant orange!! If you see a man taking a photo wearing lipstick today, it may be because he’s Lip-Sticking It to women’s mental health issues 💄Challenging a man to do something so out-of-the-norm like wearing lipstick is not easy, so huge respect to the men who are proudly supporting their mothers, sisters, friends, co-workers (and all other women) today 💪 We can’t stress enough the importance of making a positive difference to the 1 in 2 women who are experiencing a mental health struggle. Today’s donations will have an impact on women’s mental health in three ways: 💄Mental health programs & initiatives 💄Support services and 💄Research Funds are allocated to the mental health gaps outlined in our annual Women’s Mental Health Research (link is in the comments). Are you ready to make a difference? Click on the link- it’s not too late to donate! #LiptemberFoundation #Liptember #MentalHealthCare #MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealthMatters #WomensHealth

Online communities can be enormously valuable. Research suggests people are increasingly turning to online forums and communities for support with all kinds of issues, including mental health challenges like anxiety, isolation and depression. With the right support and moderation mechanisms in place, there's evidence to suggest community members can: • Experience greater social connectedness. • Develop strategies for coping with day-to-day challenges. • Gain insights into important healthcare considerations, which can promote in-person care seeking behaviour. A curated and well-maintained online community—like those from Beyond Blue, SANE and Guide Dogs Australia—can act as an important conduit to connect people with crucial support services. The research around suicide in young women is shocking and deeply concerning. Campaign Against Living Miserably works to offer incredible resources and support for those who need help, whatever their background. Those in the creative sector have an increased risk of suicide. Women are three times more likely than men to experience common mental health problems, but often hold back from getting help. This #InternationalWomensDay we wanted to shine a light on the stigma preventing women from getting support and raise funds toward the vital and life-saving services CALM provides. You can donate in-store or online at Rough Trade. We all have a role to play helping to make meaningful change. https://lnkd.in/ebrVKdk4

🏠💪While single parenting offers a unique and enriching life experience, it also presents its own set of challenges, often overlooked by society. Managing household expenses on a single income and seeking stable and affordable housing are just a sampling of the difficulties they face daily. 👩👧 Recently, the case of Hunter Biden spotlighted the issues related to child support and expenses. Such high-profile cases shed light on what countless single parents navigate every day, often without such resources. 🤝🏽 As businesses and organizations, we can play a part in making a difference. Let's strive to create programs and initiatives that specifically aid single parents. Let's review our charity goals or strategies for social responsibility in our communities. Let’s consider housing initiatives, support systems, and fair guidelines for child support. 🔗 Want to start making strides in these areas? May marks Mental Health Awareness Month, a crucial time to shine a light on the challenges faced by young people in our services. In our 2022-2023 Impact Report, 70% of our young people who identified as disabled cited mental health issues. Factors like insecure housing, low incomes and living independently for the first time pose significant barriers to accessing vital services and establishing healthy routines. 💙 Support the Big Give Kind2Mind campaign from 14 - 28 May. Thanks to #Kind2Mind, your kindness will go twice as far. Every donation you make will have DOUBLE the impact, directly funding our wellbeing coach service and providing vital mental health support to young people facing homelessness. So, when you donate £5, it becomes £10, £20 becomes £40, and so on! Donations open 12pm 14 May! #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #mentalhealthawarenessmonth💚 #mentalhealthawarenessmonth2024 #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthawarenesseveryday #mentalhealthawarenessweek #mentalhealthawareness❤️ #mentalhealthmatters #endthestigma #mindfulness #TakeAMentalHealthMoment #MentalHealthAwarenesssupport #Homelessness #Homelessnessawareness #Homelessnessprevention #EndYouthHomelessness #youthHomelessnessCharity #YouthHomelessness #EndingYouthHomelessness #HomelessnessUK #HomelessnessSupport #Bristol #BristolUK #MentalWellbeing #MentalWellbeingMatters #MentalWellbeingTips #MentalWellBeing2024 #MentalWellBeingSupport
