Didn't want to miss showcasing this approval as it is another huge win for Woodbridge and the whole region. On January 17th the Woodbridge Planning Board approved 235 Residential Units, a new medical office/office building and new restaurant space at the Metropark Station. Stonefield Engineering & Design provided Traffic Engineering and Professional Planning expertise for Russo Development on this transformational project. In addition to the new mixed-use development right on this NJ Transit/Amtrak hub, there will be traffic improvements including new and updated traffic signals, changes that will provide for a more efficient bus circulation and parking layout, and station improvements to one of the most undervalued transit hubs. This project represents one of those ideal private-public partnerships between a developer, Township, and State Agency. Haven't seen an article about the approval - but this is an article previewing the application. https://lnkd.in/d6hHMqgd

Timber bridges with skews, super el, camber, different abutment heights and put into place in two halves all in the one bridge. All the while carrying the 62.5T traffic loads in a bridge that is 1/5th the dead weight of steel and 1/8th dead weight of concrete. 16 times more carbon friendly than RC bridges and 22 times more carbon friendly than steel equivalents. The old timber bridge is cut in half and serves as a temporary bypass! Timber surviving timber for continue carbon benefits! go Timber!

WHERE THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY The reconfigured Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project will no doubt be - like most highway projects - an engineering marvel. But just how marvelous depends on the leadership of #Cincinnati City Council and other leaders. Engineers, state transportation officials and the design-build team must respect the requests of our local elected leaders. The time is now for leaders to decide if they want to settle for a project driven by the ideas and designs of a bygone generation - plenty of concrete, but lacking innovation and connection—or, they can insist on innovation and a project that will be transformational for generations to come by creating a street grid downtown and re-connecting to Queensgate and the West End. #brentspencecorridorproject #brentspencecorridor #bridgeforwardcincinnati #bridgeforward
