UN cannot do nothing unless and until the defects of constitution of UN are rectified. After thorough analysis I realised that there are two basic and fundamental structural defects in the constitution of UN which are 1. Veto Power System for the permanent members of the security council of UN. Since there is a body of all stakeholders in the form of General Assembly wherein all member- countries of the UN are represented there is absolutely no need of Security Council to accept or reject the resolutions passed by General Assembly. As such Security Council should be dissolved forthwith. 2. All member countries of UN are not signatory to the Rome statute consequently some countries are not under the International Criminal Court (ICC) whereas all the member countries have to be under the jurisdiction of ICC so that peace prevails in the world. . Due to these defects America has made a mockery of the UN as it is reduced to a puppet in the hands of the America. Consequently America with some allies have invaded several Muslim countries like Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya and looted these countries then leaving these countries after the loot is complete. Presently America with the help of Israel (both countries are not under the jurisdiction of ICC) is demolishing, doing cold blooded mass murders, devastation, destruction , displacement, ethenic cleansing, murder especially of children and women and genocide and the whole world including the UN have to be mute spectators of all this and nobody has the powers to question them because of these defects in the constitution of UN. More than seven decades have passed by but the above-mentioned defects in the constitution of UN were not rectified. Non-rectification of these defects has created a very grave situation as instead of peace maintaining organisation UN became a weapon of blackmailing and means of invading and looting the rich countries by some countries which were having the veto power also besides these countries were not signatory to the Rome statute consequently these countries were not under the jurisdiction of ICC. As the result these countries became law per se and virtually became terrorist countries of the world because they were not answerable to any forum for whatever they do. Now the climax of lawlessness has reached in Palestine where total devastation, destruction, cold blooded mass murders, genocide, ethenic cleansing, kidnapping and rape of innocent and unarmed civilians is being done and the whole world including UN have to be mute spectators because of the basic and fundamental defects in the constitution of UN have not been rectified. This is the highest time these defects are rectified by the General Assembly. Let General Assembly wake up after decades of slumber and rectify the defects as proposed above.

Step 1: Acknowledgment ✅

I try to avoid making statements on here that can be seen as political, but there are some moments where events transcend politics and become a matter that questions our very humanity. Whatever race, colour or creed a person or community may belong to… there are certain principles that are absolute and their violation is unquestionably evil. This isn’t subjective and it isn’t hard to see either. The specific principles that I have in mind are that children are born innocent and equal. Anyone who is responsible for children being treated with equal or less respect than animals should be in jail. That applies equally whether they are the lowest, most humbled people in society or one of its lawmakers. The second principle is that absolutely no one should ever target unarmed civilians under any circumstances. If any person knowingly puts another (unarmed) person or persons in mortal danger, those people should absolutely have the right to defend themselves so long as their actions do not escalate the situation by putting more people in greater danger than they had faced themselves. That principle applies to both sides of any conflict and you cannot justify an escalation by saying that the other side went first, the victim has a right to justice not vengeance. Israel, Palestine, Ukraine and indeed the people of every country in the world all have those rights and they are undeniable rights of all humans regardless of the flags they fly, the language they speak or the holy teachings they follow. Honestly, I have been appalled by the atrocities of these past weeks but above that, I am horrified by the hypocritical way that this has been reported on. You cannot cherry pick ethical principles and say that one side is justified to deploy violent escalation in the name of defence and call it a crime when the other side does it. You cannot call it murder when one side kills an innocent bystander and collateral damage when it is the other side. Their families feel the same grief and pain. We are seeing war crimes and a massive unnecessary humanitarian disaster unfolding in real time. We need the missiles to stop, aid to be provided and frankly we need the leaders and fighters ON BOTH SIDES who committed terrible and unnecessary acts to be held accountable and face justice, so that the innocents can live their lives without living in fear. It seems like a lot to hope for but it has to start by each of us calling out the hypocrisy and injustice that we are seeing every day and demanding better from our leaders.

The Summit of the Future will take place in September 2024. It aims at forging "a new global consensus on what our future should look like, and what we can do today to secure it" and serves as an opportunity for Member States to agree on multilateral solutions for a better tomorrow, strengthening global governance for both present and future generations (General Assembly resolution 76/307). The UN Secretary-General António Guterres early this year announced that he will release policy briefs with “concrete ideas” on how to advance Our Common Agenda as Member States prepare for the Summit of the Future. In July 2023, the 9th edition of such policy briefs was released. This policy brief titled #ANewAgendaforPeace, outlines the UN Secretary-General's vision of how the world can commit to peace.
