According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner, Tarrant County has not had any heat-related deaths this year. However, we still have months to go in summer, and we need your help NOW to keep it that way. Thanks to our generous donors, we've already distributed more than 100 units, but the demand is overwhelming. Our waitlist has skyrocketed to 155 people desperately needing portable A/C units. UWTC's Beat the Heat program provides free, portable A/C units to older adults, people with disabilities, veterans and struggling households. We can't do this without YOU! Let's come together to prevent severe illness and death during these scorching summer months. Donate now to put lifesaving A/C units into homes: https://bit.ly/4cyvAhK #BeatTheHeat #UWTarrant #GetUnited

It’s an unfortunate reality that domestic abuse happens within our country. It’s even more sad to realize that it happens so often that there are large nonprofits that take care of family members in these situations. Safe Harbor in Greenville “provides pathways for people impacted by domestic abuse to survive and thrive, and raises awareness of domestic abuse through community engagement and education.” Their services include a 24 hour hotline, emergency shelters, transitional housing, counseling, case management, and much more. There are quite a few ways you can get involved. You can donate in terms of money but you can also donate standard living items like kitchen or household goods, diapers and clothing for children, school supplies, and other needs. You can also volunteer to help carry out the vision of Safe Harbor. Consider helping families be free from the constraints of abuse. #greenville #volunteer #nonprofit

In 2023, we served 4,053 meals to our youth. Every night, we make delicious, hot meals before our evening programs. This is because many of our youth grow up (and still are) food insecure. In other words, they aren’t always sure where they’re next meal is coming from. Take 5 seconds to imagine that. When we’re concerned about our survival, it’s harder to make positive choices. 📢 END OF FY DONATION APPEAL 📢 As Deadly Connections Community & Justice Services approach the end of the financial year, we need your support more than ever. The NSW child protection and criminal legal system are failing our kids, families and communities. Aboriginal children, make up 45% of those in out-of-home care despite being only 7% of the population (Audit Office NSW, 2024). Our rates of Incarceration for Aboriginal children & young people are just as appalling. Deadly Connections Community & Justice Services works tirelessly to advocate, support and keep these children safe, connected and engaged, providing vital services to break the cycles of systemic racism, trauma and disadvantage while keeping mob safe and families together. We do not receive a lot of govt funding so your donation this EOFY will go directly back into our support, program, community events and opportunities. Our purpose is to disrupt harmful systems, to fight for the rights of Aboriginal children and their families, ensuring they receive the best possible care and consideration in a culturally safe environment. Every contribution makes a difference. Our programs are grounded in culture and healing. Run by community, for community. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation before June 30th. Your donation will be matched by a generous donor from now until 30 June. Together we can create a brighter future for our mob but especially our kids. New data revealed by the NSPCC shows that reported cases of child cruelty and neglect have more than doubled over the last 5 years. Saying that these figures, taken from police forces in England, should serve as a "stark wake-up call," the NSPCC has now joined with four other leading children's charities to call for urgent reform to child protection services to improve the lives of babies, children and young people across the country. Find out more about the latest data, and what the NSPCC and their charity partners are asking for now: https://lnkd.in/erzPi3TB #NSPCC #childline #childcruelty #childneglect #childabuse #ChildAbusePreventionAwareness #childprotection #childprotectionservices #childrenssocialcare #childrensservices #childrenatthetable

Fairer pay, more reasonable scope, young people serving as missionaries, and all stewarded by hands-on servant leadership. Sounds fantastic, doesn't it? But it isn't possible without our Donors. Medicaid margins are razor thin, and in year one, we were set to lose approximately $10 per hour served. Our donors' tax-deductible financial support helps us continue to provide superior care for our current clients, and to expand our mission to those most in need. Visit https://buff.ly/46To51y to financially support our mission. #YearEndGiving #OhioMinistries #GiveBack #SupportLocalMinistries #CharitableGiving #OhioNonprofits #CommunitySupport #MinistryOutreach #YearEndDonation #CorporateGiving #MakeADifference
