🌟 Celebrating Women's History Month! 🌟 As we honor the incredible achievements and contributions of women throughout history, it’s crucial to shine a light on the progress we’ve made and the challenges that still lie ahead. The gender wage gap persists, but there’s reason to acknowledge some positive shifts. In 2021, women in Ventura County earned 85.7 cents for every dollar earned by men. While there’s still ground to cover, this marks a noticeable improvement from 2020 when the figure stood at 84 cents on the dollar, aligning closely with the national rate. This data is a testament to the resilience and determination of women in our community, who continue to break barriers and advocate for equity in the workplace. However, it also serves as a reminder of the work that remains to be done. This data comes from Ventura County Civic Alliance’s 2023 State of the Region Report.
