Exciting updates in the game development journey! 🎮 Added animations to the townsfolk and shifted the player's perspective for a fresh feel. Introducing an intriguing twist, the townsfolk now have an 'evil' probability when accepting a gift. 'Evil' townsfolk will respond with a cheeky tossing animation, while the 'Good' ones graciously bow and reward you with gold (visual element pending). Currently, no visual cues differentiate the two, everything is by random chance, but I plan to change that in the future! I've introduced a responsive player mechanic triggered by the zombie boss's swinging-to-ground animation. Now, when engaged, the player character dynamically falls, adding realism and depth to gameplay. Currently, the system seamlessly switches to a third-person view during this animation phase, with plans underway to incorporate first-person animations. Created my first 2D game using Unreal Engine 5.Here is a recorded version of the game .it has two levels .In this project I created the level with 2D tile available on the internet. Created sprite sheet and flipbook for animation. explored unreal visual coding system for animation ,coin collecting .Used Niagara for fire simulation . Created working health-bar , and custom UI for starting of the game ,ending of the game and for respawn . 🕹 UE5 Tip Alert 🕹 For fellow Animators ! As i have been learning the Unreal from some time. I have a tip for all animators who are trying to learn the Unreal. As i have no background knowledge of coding, math & computer languages. I will suggest few things which might help you - 🎮 LEARN THE BASICS - Read some of basic concepts of computer languages, i.e. Oops concept etc.. ! 🎮 DO WHAT YOU KNOW - No need to get indulge in heavy web of blueprint nodes in start. Go simple like we do in animation. ------- Staging - Blocking - Polish------- See the image attached for a simple aiming in 2 stages. 1st one will get the aiming work, then later you can polish it more with further logics. 🎮 NEVER STOP - Be regular in learning. one step daily will take you way further in long run.
