My primary responsibilities included: 🚗 Pollution Testing: Conducted comprehensive pollution testing for a diverse range of vehicles, encompassing both BS4 and BS6 standards. Executed rigorous evaluations through a combination of on-road tests and meticulous laboratory assessments to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. 📊 Data Collection and Segregation: Managed the collection of extensive vehicle data and organized it systematically. This involved precise segregation and categorization of information, followed by meticulous entry into Excel sheets. This is particularly true for Electrical & Mechanical engineering program students. Good news is that, there are vast openings in core engineering sectors provided the candidate has right skills. Basic knowledge of Industrial Automation and still better, proficiency in it is going to be the great asset while seeking and even bargaining during placement. The electrical engineering students at Guru Gobind Singh Foundation’s College of Engineering and Research Centre realize this aspect and we encourage the students to seek internships to gain skills in these in-demand areas. With this view, #Shruti_Gangurde & #Tanvi_Pawar sought and completed their internship at #Crew_Automation & Electrical Pvt Ltd, Nashik. During their internship, they worked on Siemens make S7-1200 PLC and completed entry level tasks of automation. This gave them exposure to Specs of PLCs, DI, DO, Timers and using TIA portal software of Siemens for programming this PLC. In addition to this, they also learnt wiring standards observed in automation panels, including importance of color-coded cables, segregation and separation of signal & power cables, etc. We at GGSF are sure that these skills will arm them to seek better jobs in industry, where they can be productive in a very short span of time.

A wonderful conversation happened last week at Department of Mechanical Engineering SIT Pune where I shared the stage with Rahul Nalawade , PRASAD GORE and Nitin Karmarkar , wonderful folks with great insights. It is a privilege to share the stage with industry veterans of more than 20-30 years of experience on how we should shape the coming years and what skillset is needed . Few points from the discussions are as follows : 1. Focusing on core ( It means that even though technology is changing rapidly , core concepts like logical reasoning , aptitude should be there ) . 2. More hands on towards work ( internships and similar projects should be focus ) 3.
