It truly feels this last decade or more has forgotten a big part of business and life in general. “A sense of urgency.” You either have it or you don’t. It reflects poorly on how you are perceived by business partners and potential clients. Left on read seems to be the go to when it comes to getting information, identifying and resolving or even responding to questions and concerns. I tend to respond and attempt to resolve in as little time as possible, but if I don’t have the information readily available and cannot get immediate support, my delayed response damages my credibility. How do you deal with this problem? Are you experiencing the “Left on Read” scenario more now than you ever seen before?

Reports should tell you two things: 1. Is everything fine? 2. Do I need to act? Anything else is just noise. They're just numbers that look important but tell you nothing. A good report tells you in 10 seconds if everything's fine or if you need to act. Anything else? You're just spinning your wheels. (And wasting time you don't have.)
