Following our post-event discussion on ARISE News with Johanna Monthé , Managing Partner at Epena Law and host of FABS 2024, important insights were shared regarding strategies to unleash the immense potential of Francophone Africa. Johanna Monthe emphasized the power of forging meaningful connections, underscoring how the Francophone Africa Business Summit bridged assumptions and brought together stakeholders, investors, policymakers, and economic influencers to chart a collaborative course for investment in the region. She elaborated also on the approach to entering a market, emphasizing the importance of gradual entry rather than diving in all at once. She likely suggested starting small, perhaps with a pilot project or a limited product/service offering, to test the waters and gradually expand as you gain insights, establish relationships, and understand the market dynamics. This incremental approach allows for better risk management, adaptation to local conditions, and building a solid foundation for sustainable growth. Meanwhile Valérie Neim highlighted the importance of transcending language barriers, emphasizing that linguistic differences should not hinder investment opportunities. The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) recently published the “Global Innovation Index 2023: Innovation in the Face of Uncertainty,” which provides an in-depth evaluation of innovation ecosystems in 132 countries.
