WE ARE HIRING! 💼 The Membership Services Coordinator supports the operation and administration of USA Weightlifting’s national office in the Sport Development areas which include, but are not limited to, membership services, grassroots programs and coach development programs. This role also supports USAW’s national events by providing customer service in advance and in-person operational support at such events. Periodic travel is required.

The United States' first men's Olympic medal since 1984! 🥉 Hampton Morris tied an Olympic record 172 kg clean & jerk en route to earning a bronze medal in the 61 kg session at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.🇺🇸

August 9th was an historic day for USAW! Olivia Reeves became the first American gold medalist in 24 years and posted an Olympic record (117 kg) in the snatch as she bested all competition in the women’s 71 kg session at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games! Reeves, 21, is the youngest American to claim Olympic gold in weightlifting since Ike Berger, 20, at Melbourne 1956, and the first American to earn gold since Tara Nott at Sydney 2000. 🇺🇸

Earlier this week Meredith Alwine volunteered her time to connect with local kicks at Jacksonville’s JumpStart Pediatrics as part of their Summer Olympic celebrations! 😊 Alwine and the kids did a parade around the facility that included some cheering and singing, she showed them how to do the Olympic lifts with a pool noodle before letting the kids try on their own, and she showed off some of the medals she has won while competing for Team USA 🥇🇺🇸 “It was very fulfilling and fun being with the kids,” said Alwine. “Sport and being an elite athlete gives you so much opportunity beyond just competing. Being able to see how excited the kids got to try something new and experience a sport was very fun. It’s not just about competing, it’s about community and bringing people together and sharing something with people and making them happy. I had a lot of fun.”
