Checklist for a Strong Climate Change Mitigation, Adaptation and Resilience Grant Application Most USDOT discretionary grants include selection criteria associated with climate change and some programs are specifically focused on climate change. Although criteria may differ among grant programs, a strong application in this area generally consists of two core components: 1. Reducing transportation greenhouse gas emissions (also called greenhouse gas mitigation, climate change mitigation, or decarbonization) 2. The U.S. Department of Transportation has released the fourth installment of its “Investing in America” video series focused on U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s two-day visit to Mississippi in June. During the trip, Secretary Buttigieg toured projects funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and highlighted how these investments are strengthening local economies, creating good-paying jobs, improving the safety and efficiency of supply chains, and connecting communities often overlooked.
