Today we're sharing details of our new Unreal Engine, Twinmotion and Reality Capture pricing. Our model for game developers is not changing. After your product generates $1 million in gross revenue, you'll pay royalties. If you're not making a game (or other royalty product) AND you're company generates more than $1 million of gross revenue then you'll pay $1850 per seat per year for an Unreal Subscription which includes Unreal Engine, Twinmotion and Realty Capture.
Over the past few years, our user base grown far beyond game development with companies in M&E, Automotive, Retail, Fashion/Apparel, Manufacturing, Aerospace, AEC and more all adopting Unreal Engine across product design, engineering, planning, sales and marketing teams. These companies are designing and building better products and experiences with greater efficiency by embracing real-time 3D. They're generating significant business value. These new pricing changes will allow us to continue to invest aggressively in our tools, creating even more value for our customers who have been incredibly supportive as we roll these changes out. #unrealengine
New Unreal Engine pricing and licensing is coming in late April.
For most creators of non-game projects whose company revenue is less than $1M USD per year, Unreal Engine will be free to use—and you get Twinmotion and RealityCapture too! Over that threshold, you’ll need to purchase annual subscription seats at $1,850 USD.
There’s no change for game devs: your first $1M USD in revenue is still royalty-free. Get ALL the details in our blog: https://lnkd.in/ePpGpzNX
