For the sake of national security, space is integral. We need better security, better offensive strategies, and better preparations. Now, the DOD has made a statement regarding the still classified Space Strategic Review, which underlies the plan for where we currently stand regarding regulations and policy for space security. Space may be considered in every military decision, but there is always room for more resilience. #ASAT: the Secure World Foundation published its annual Global Counterspace Capabilities Report, a 360-degree overview of all latest developments related to such offensive technologies in the landscape of space security and defense. 👉 Over the recent yeas, ASAT technologies made the headlines again and are cause for growing concern at governmental level, especially when considering the increased dependency on vulnerable space systems for informed policies. Every dollar spent on space yields great returns and enhances our defense capabilities. • Ongoing Progress: While we've made significant strides, there's still work to be done in defending our space domain and supporting the Joint Force. We must keep innovating and training to stay ahead despite resource constraints. • Modernization is Key: Transforming our capabilities to meet future challenges requires new approaches and constant improvement. Every Guardian plays a crucial role in this mission. This letter reminds us of our important mission and the collective effort needed to maintain our edge. There's been a lot of chatter over the past several months on the importance of strong public-private partnerships, particularly in the #space domain. With last week's release of the 2023 National Intelligence Strategy and its focus on the strengthening and expansion of subnational and non-state partnerships, I expect we'll only see more. In a conversation with the Intelligence and National Security Alliance Pete Muend, director of the Commercial Systems Program Office at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), "highlighted three areas that the intelligence community is looking toward the commercial sector for help with when it comes to space: providing threat information, anomaly investigation and response, and collection strategies."
