There's only ONE WEEK LEFT of CuriOdyssey's springtime exhibition, Puzzling Perceptions! Make sure to visit and bring your senses to life with exhibits like Sound Tubes, where you can make music!🎶 How do Sound Tubes work? Tapping the paddle on the end of these tubes sends a small burst of air pressure through the tube. The sudden burst of air pressure generates sound waves inside the tube. Long tubes create large sound waves with lower tones. Short tubes create smaller sound waves with higher tones. A pipe organ works similarly by sending pressurized air through different-length pipes. How to experiment: Tap the tubes with the attached paddles. Do the tubes make different sounds? Which tubes create higher tones? Which tubes create lower tones? Puzzling Perceptions will be open now until April 28, 2024!
