I always knew I didn’t want to: - Change the world. - Build the next unicorn. - Be featured on 30U30. - Get the highest valuation. I just wanted to: - Spend my time working on things I enjoy with people I enjoy. - Be able to travel wherever I want to, whenever I want to. - Spend way more time with my friends and family. - Stop doing things I don't like doing. Before you get hyperfocused on your career goals, ask yourself: What do I not want to do, at any cost? Live intentionally. Define your success. Write your destiny. My 5 biggest struggles as an entrepreneur. (and how I conquered them) As an entrepreneur, I've been knocked down by: → Failing over and over again → Falling into the comparison trap → Surrounding myself with the wrong people → Making decisions that kept me awake at night → Wanting the throw in the towel and get a "safe" job That's the raw reality of entrepreneurship. → It's not just about big wins and highlight reels → Everyone is fighting that voice saying, "You're not enough." → You're always testing, always pushing, hoping for breakthroughs → You don't work less, you work more, because this is YOUR vision → And guess what? You own every. single. piece. of it. My biggest struggle?   Not just in business, but in life: Admitting I DON'T have all the answers. It's hard to keep going when you can't predict the outcome. But here's what I learned: I had to let go of that fear of failure. I had to shift my mindset from worrying about the "what if" to focusing on "what now." And that's what all successful people do. They don't chase perfection. They chase progress. They don't go at it alone. They build teams. They ask for help! The moment I changed my mindset, I became more fearless and continued moving forward. (This applies to your career and life, too, not just business.) So here's what you do: Stop thinking you need to have it all figured out. Give yourself permission to ASK for what you need. Raise your hand. Ask someone for help. Throughout my entrepreneurial journey, I've faced setbacks like failed ventures, being ghosted, and even bankruptcy. Yet, I've learned that failure isn't the end—it's a stepping stone to success. Despite challenges, I refused to let setbacks define me. I've experienced rejection from investors and moments of doubt, but I've always persevered, learning and growing from each experience. To aspiring entrepreneurs: Embrace setbacks, learn from them, and keep moving forward. Your resilience and determination will lead you to success, no matter how many times you have to start again. 10 THINGS THAT ARE MUCH HARDER THAN ENTREPRENEURSHIP IS: 1. Deciding how and when to risk your job by disclosing your pregnancy 2. Working at set times that don’t suit your body’s natural rhythm 3. Walking on eggshells around emotionally illiterate coworkers 4. Convincing yourself that you’re willing to sacrifice creative fulfillment 5. Having no energy for hobbies and events in the evening 6. “Sunday scaries” cutting your weekend short 7. Pretending that software is “life or death” knowing the world desperately needs real healing 8. Receiving vague feedback about how “strategic” you are, when you’re actually the sharpest strategist in the room 9. Spending most of your waking hours surrounded by people who don’t inspire you 10. Suppressing your instinct that you have what it takes to strike out on your own Lollll, seriously guys. If you can tolerate the above for years, even DECADES?? I thought I was broken. When I read traditional success and career books in my 20s, I was bombarded with the same advice: Choose one thing. Focus. Do one thing *so well* you become known as the best. But I couldn’t choose just one thing. I had multiple, deep passions — personal development, business, hip hop, fitness, spirituality, marketing, you name it. After a lot of struggle and frustration, I finally let go of trying to fit into society's narrow definition of career success and decided to create my own. Entrepreneurship comes with a lot of judgement from your circles. - Will they think I'm weird? - Will they think I'm dumb for trying? - Will they make fun of me if I fail? These questions cross the mind of all entrepreneurs. They've certainly crossed mine. The moment you tell people you're starting your own business... You become vulnerable to their opinions. You need to get past it. You must decide that your determination to build the life you've always wanted trumps their opinions and gossip. I had friends and family members that doubted me. Even my own mother. She urged me to get a job after finishing grad school. I said, "Ummm Mom? I just grew my startup to $270,000. I'm not getting a job." I know for a fact they thought I'd fail. A couple years later, my startup reached $518,000 in revenue. And we're on track for $1M in 2024. All from an idea I had in my college dorm room. The difference is that I took action. My friends probably thought I was weird for doing something no one else did. Now, I sleep in as late as I want, workout everyday at 11am, and golf any time I please. I am a snowbird at age 26. 100% it was worth dealing with the judgement from others in the early days. And for you, it will be worth it when you have similar success. Focus on you and don't worry about the opinions of doubters. That's how you build something special and live your best life.

Entrepreneurs must find fulfillment in their work and prioritize their mental and physical health, as the journey of entrepreneurship is fraught with challenges and obstacles that can only be overcome through a combination of happiness and inner strength. Stay happy and strong 🤗🚀

In my few years of entrepreneurship I’ve accomplished what most try to accomplish their whole life: Built multimillion-dollar businesses. Traveled the world. Closed mega-deals. Rub shoulders with celebrities. But you know what I've learned along the way? The most valuable asset in life isn't money or status. It's relationships. The people you surround yourself with shape your destiny. They either propel you forward or hold you back. Not all relationships are created equal. There are 4 distinct cycles of human interaction. Most people learn these the hard way: 1. Some people come into your life for a reason. They serve a specific purpose, teach you a lesson, or help you through a difficult time. 2. Some people come into your life for a season. They bring joy, growth, and new experiences for a set period of time. 3. Some people come into your life for a lifetime. These are the rare, precious connections that stand the test of time. 4. Some people come back into your life to see if you're still stupid. They're the toxic exes, fair-weather friends, and opportunistic leeches. Understanding these cycles allows you to appreciate each connection for what it is. Without unrealistic expectations. You are not an entrepreneur if you don’t have this skill. At 23, I faced my first big setback. My first business venture failed. I was lost and struggling. I read books, watched videos, and sought advice. It wasn’t easy, but I learned resilience. As an entrepreneur, life is tough. You need the capacity to withstand it. Here’s what I found crucial: 1. Embrace Failure ↳ See setbacks as learning experiences. ↳ Every failure teaches a valuable lesson. 2. Set Small, Achievable Goals ↳ Break big tasks into smaller steps. ↳ Celebrate small wins to keep motivated. 3. Build a Support Network ↳ Surround yourself with positive influences. ↳ Seek mentors who’ve been with similar challenges. 4. Stay Adaptable ↳ Be flexible in your approach. ↳ Adjust your strategies based on feedback. 5. Maintain a Healthy Routine ↳ Exercise regularly and eat well. ↳ Ensure you get enough sleep.
