𝙂𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙨 𝙇𝙉𝙂 𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙋𝙞𝙥𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙢𝙞𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙨 QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil have requested U.S. regulatory approval to expand the workforce for the Golden Pass LNG pipeline project in Texas. The proposal seeks to increase the peak construction workforce from 500 to 650 workers and extend working hours to a 24/7 schedule. This adjustment aims to expedite the completion of key infrastructure, including compressor stations in Orange, Texas, and Starks, Louisiana, ensuring the project adheres to its timeline. The project is designed to transport up to 2.5 billion cubic feet per day of domestically sourced natural gas to the Golden Pass LNG export facilities. Significant developments include the installation of new compressor and metering stations and pipeline interconnects, which will enhance the terminal's connectivity to additional gas supplies. In related news, Golden Pass LNG is addressing contractor Zachry's bankruptcy by facilitating its structured exit from the project. Legal motions are in place to resume construction of the first train, with a final decision pending. Well, you’re in luck!   This Tuesday, we’re travelling to Australia.   Here GR Engineering Services Ltd (GNG) has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, GR Production Services Pty Ltd, has been awarded a three-year contract with two three-year extension options with INPEX Operations Australia Pty Ltd for the provision of operations and maintenance support services at the Ichthys LNG upstream and downstream facilities. The scope of work involves providing production and technical roles to INPEX as required to supplement their business, and support for maintenance shutdown planning and execution on all facilities. The estimated contract value for the three-year period is US$28 million. GTA FLNG project's FPSO arrived, as the first LNG expected in 2024-Q4 Technip Energies has said that GTA FLNG project's floating production storage and offloading unit (FPSO) has “safely” arrived at its final location. The FPSO measures 270-M long, 54-M wide, and 31.5-M high, the French #engineering company said, adding that it includes eight gas #processing and production modules and can accommodate up to 140 people. Earlier, the project’s partner Kosmos Energy had said that the #BP-operated FLNG project’s FPSO unit #inspection and repair work “complete” with #mooring work to commence thereafter, as the first LNG cargo is expected in the fourth quarter of 2024. The project’s hub terminal has been completed and handed over to the operator. The 2.5 MMT/Y Gimi FLNG to be utilized for the #FLNG export project for 20 years under a Lease and Operate Agreement (LOA) between #Golar LNG and BP. The GTA Phase 1 project will produce gas from #reservoirs in #deepwater, approximately 120-Km offshore, through a #subsea system to the #FPSO unit, which will initially process the #gas, removing heavier hydrocarbon components, BP has said, adding that the gas will then be transported by pipeline to the Gimi FLNG vessel. Black & Veatch provides #design, #procurement, and #commissioning support services for the project's #topsides, as well as the #liquefaction process.
