#NYSCDiary one day left to leave the orientation camp!💃 Another lesson I've learned during my time at the NYSC orientation camp is the incredible impact of high focus and intense concentration on learning and achieving goals, especially when there's a prize in sight. This was evident in the whirlwind of activities last week as each platoon leveled up in their drilling and training, preparing for the final competitions that concluded over the weekend. The SAED (Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development) exhibition showcased how quickly people can learn and deliver exceptional results in less than 10 days. Participants in the cosmetic class, bag making, and other units amazed everyone with their newfound skills and creativity. The parade competition was another testament to the power of focused training. Many participants had never marched in their lives, yet under a few days of intense practice, they delivered outstanding performances. The intercultural dance competition was equally impressive. Participants learned the nuances of cultures different from their own and performed brilliantly in the competition, displaying not only their new skills but also a deep appreciation for diversity. We also saw remarkable performances in drama, singing, and other categories. It was beautiful to see how these competitions bound each platoon together, fostering a strong sense of teamwork and a common goal of winning. This experience underscores how quickly we can learn and excel when we maintain high focus and intense concentration, especially when motivated by a prize. It reminds us to embrace this level of dedication in our training and to keep our eyes on the prize, whatever it may be.
