Woke up just not feeling right this morning
In fact, woke up at 4:34 feeling anxious and irritated about… I honestly didn’t know
So I just did what my mind, body, and soul has been programmed to do since 12 years old…
I got up and went to workout
Sure, a stationary bike may not seem like most people’s ideal start to a day, especially before sunrise.
But my body needed it
My mind needed it
My soul was screaming out to sweat, work, and even hurt
And waiting on the other side of the workout was the very thing I didn’t know I was there for
Not the puddle of sweat, or the calories burned…
Calm.
That was why my body woke up when it did, it wasn’t calm and it wanted me to go find it
I was able to process a variety of different tasks and thoughts while on the bike
I expended restless energy that I hadn’t realized had been piling up
And now I’m calm. Now I have clarity. Now I feel like what’s done is done and what can be still can be done.
If you’re carrying anything from the week, find your own path to calmness, don’t take that stuff into your weekend!
Whether it’s a stationary bike, a preferred workout, a phone call, a book, a journal, a prayer, a meditation, or anything else…
Find your calm 🙏🏼
What can you let go of before the weeks out?
