SUCCESS – A fantastic result for our client, Haven Holidays, adding 137 holiday accommodation units to its existing holiday park at Craig Tara, near Ayr in Scotland. Landevo Limited has led an integrated client and consultant team from concept stage to achieve a key-target planning permission at a sensitive location on the South Ayrshire coastline. Adjacent to a SSSI, within an area of high sensitivity for Landscape, Habitat, Archaeology, Traffic, Flood Risk, and in addition to significant levels of public concern on the scale and perceived impact of the proposal, the team has delivered a planning permission for a sympathetically designed development without the loss of existing trees, that enhances the landscape & habitat and delivers significant Economic Benefit to Ayr and the surrounding areas. It’s been a journey requiring considerable negotiation and collaboration both within the team and with Statutory Consultees. Our strategy of responding to concerns objectively, supported by fact and technical debate together with the professionalism and dedication of the consultant team to the project objective, has delivered a valuable planning permission to our client for a development that matches the scale and layout of the original application proposal agreed at the business case stage. With the project now handed over to the Haven team for construction, it is worthwhile celebrating this success and the combined efforts of the team.
