Late Post: Two weeks ago my students were learning about the events that led to the American Civil War. Students focused on the causation historical thinking skill 💪🏾 (I'm a former AP US History Teacher 🤣 if you know you know). I was nice and created QR codes for videos over each event I wanted my students to focus on. Then students had to select their top events and rank them from most important to the least and justify why they chose each event. Students also chose an event not listed that they felt was significant in leading to the war. In the future, I'm going to have students create a bracket and present their overall winner 🏆 #studentengagement #studentsuccess #history1301

Mothers Against Genocide on Instagram: "It’s a truly impressive deception to have convinced the world that the Holy Land has had no history or people since the creation of a colonial state in 1948. Like how did we believe this? In Tending the Heart of Virtue, Guroian discusses how Classic stories and their moral lessons were better understood by 4th graders than his own college students. The Moral Imagination is akin to recognizing that we live in a world that is far more complex than most would admit, that castles and dragons are real and virtue honorable. This is no different than what Lewis is presenting in Narnia. Why is it that children discern reality more clearly than college students? Better yet, how can colleges help students discern reality more clearly? #classicaleducation #classicalconversations #classicalconsulting
