Introducing the founder and CEO of Women's Business Club, Angela De Souza
In 2013, armed with little business experience but driven by an unyielding passion for supporting women, I embarked on a transformative journey as the founder and CEO of the Women's Business Club. What began as a local initiative quickly evolved into a beacon of empowerment for women entrepreneurs and professionals.
The pandemic, an unexpected disruptor, became a catalyst for change. Forced to adapt, we took our community online, turning challenges into opportunities. This shift not only sustained us but propelled the Women's Business Club into a global brand, reaching women around the world.
Amidst the chaos, our commitment to fostering a sense of community remained steadfast. We recognized that women, regardless of geography, shared common aspirations and challenges. This insight fuelled our ambition to break barriers and connect with women globally.
Now, we're taking a giant leap forward. Recognising the diversity of languages spoken by women worldwide, we're building our own tech infrastructure in 57 languages. It's not just about reaching a broader audience; it's about creating a space where every woman, regardless of language or location, can find the support and community she craves on her journey to success.

Our vision extends beyond borders, beyond the limitations of circumstance. We're not just building a brand; we're building a bridge to the next level of success for women worldwide. The Women's Business Club is not just a community; it's a movement breaking down barriers and shaping the future of women in business. Together, we're proving that community knows no bounds, and success is a journey we navigate hand in hand, no matter where we are in the world.
🌍✨ Celebrating Women-Led Innovation and Social Impact! ✨🌍
I'm thrilled to share an inspiring story about Progetto Quid, an incredible women-led initiative that’s transforming the fashion industry while empowering women in Italy.
Founded by Anna Fiscale, Progetto Quid repurposes surplus materials from local textile factories into beautiful, eco-friendly clothing. This initiative not only promotes sustainability but also provides stable employment opportunities for women overcoming adversity, including survivors of domestic violence.
🔹 Empowerment: Progetto Quid offers a pathway to financial independence and self-sufficiency for women who have faced significant challenges.
🔹 Sustainability: By utilizing surplus materials, the initiative addresses the critical issue of textile waste, contributing to a greener planet.
🔹 Social Impact: Beyond employment, Progetto Quid fosters a supportive community and promotes inclusivity and diversity.
Anna Fiscale's vision and leadership exemplify resilience and innovation, creating a powerful model for social entrepreneurship. Progetto Quid's story is a testament to how business can be a force for good, driving both social and environmental change.

Day #2 Women in Business III. Summit INFLUENCING THE FUTURE
Imagine walking into a room where the air crackles with potential, where every conversation is a doorway to the future. This is the essence of Day #2 at the Women in Business III Summit.
Today, we dive into sessions that aren't just discussions, but blueprints for tomorrow. İçim Çağın Kavuklu set the stage with an opening speech that reminded us why we gather: to shape a future that values diversity, innovation, and courage.
The main theme speech by Gülden Yılmaz founder of Koton wasn't just a talk; it was a call to action for creating sustainable business models that will thrive in the years to come.
Our 'Promising Youth' panel, led by FÜGEN TOKSÜ, showcased the brilliance of young minds like Aybüke Holat and Yağmur Aydındağ. Their ideas remind us that the future is not something we enter, but something we create.
Deniz Ülke Arıboğan moderated a session that felt like a window into tomorrow. The esteemed rectors, including prof. Dr. Meryem Tunçel, shared how technology and science will redefine every aspect of our lives.
The 'Business Models of Future' discussion, steered by Zuhal Mansfield, featured insights from entrepreneurs like Jülide Konukoğlu. We examined the evolving landscape of commerce and the agility needed to stay ahead.
Agriculture and food - our most fundamental industries - were reimagined in a panel moderated by Hülya Akkaya. Visionaries like Tülin Akın from Tabit Smart Village painted a picture of a world where sustainability and technology meet to feed nations.
Each session was more than just a conversation. It was a seed planted in the fertile ground of our collective consciousness, destined to grow into initiatives and enterprises that will lead us into a prosperous future.
If today's ideas resonated with you, I encourage you to be part of this narrative. Share your thoughts, repost this message, and let's amplify the voices that will influence our tomorrow. Because when we come together, the future is not just bright; it's unstoppable.

It's rare to come across a campaign that not only captures your attention but also moves you deeply, challenging societal norms and inspiring a shift in perceptions. Mercedes-Benz AG has achieved just that with their latest initiative.
The ad beautifully conveys a powerful message: "I don’t want to be the only woman. I want to be one of many." This resonates with me on so many levels and echoes a goal I am deeply passionate about - creating spaces where diversity is not just welcomed, but celebrated. Where being "the only" one is a notion of the past, and where we pave the way for many more to follow.
This is a brilliant example of how #advertising can transcend its traditional boundaries to become a catalyst for change, inspiring us to reflect on our roles and the impact we can make. It's a call to action for all of us, regardless of our industry, to push for inclusivity and diversity in every arena of our lives.
Bravo, Mercedes-Benz, for setting an example and leading the way. Your campaign is a powerful reminder of the role brands can play in shaping a more inclusive society. I am inspired, and I hope others are too, to work towards a future where we are "one of many," and where our differences are our strengths.
Stay posted on our next women focused initiatives and…. be yourself 🚀

I attended Founderland Demo Day last Friday. 12 companies, 12 women, 4 product-related takeaways - let's talk about it:
1. I heard "AI driven" a handful of times. Making complex analyses of a user's needs more accessible and getting a customer to a personalised experience of the product is a great use of AI.
↳ Companies that take take this a step further and personalize experience all the way through the product journey will have a competitive edge (think the 11 star experience) - why stop at the onboarding stage?
======
2. The diversity in offerings, from gut-health supplements to seaweed farms was refreshing. There was also an emphasis on solutions for painpoints in the climate space.
↳ Because of app-fatigue, products that include integrate an element of hardware or physical products, especially if they are created within the circular economy, will have the most traction. Digital technology is a tool and will be part of every modern solution but it's not the end-all-be-all story.
======
3. A lot of mentions around price accessibility alongside a focus on undeserved demographics highlighted opportunities that these founders are especially well positioned to claim.
↳ If you're looking for truly interesting and impactful work, look for a woman-led business. This group of women founders are claiming and expanding audiences that have been underserved. In most of the cases, audiences that they themselves are part of.
======
4. Many of the companies had already proved demand for their product in terms of revenue generated. This is the ultimate green flag.
↳ A dollar exchanged for your service or product from a customer is the ultimate form of validation. If you're pre-PMF, that's what all product work needs to ultimately ladder up to. It's also what any discerning potential hire will be looking out for.
======

Whether it’s a friend, mentor, or even yourself - who do you celebrate this #IWD24?
First of all, thank you, dear women and enablers from friends, mentors, partners, believers (fierce/fearless investors) to organizations, who centuries before to this date have made the path forward before us.
On this International Women's Day, Aeon Stellar Commerce Inc. celebrates the pivotal role women play in driving innovation and empowerment within the tech and food industries. Is it pink washing or does my women's network really have an impact?
Today I was on a Panel hosted by Bitkom Arbeitskreis Frauen, bringing together perspectives from politics and policies Anna RieckenBarbara LutzCorinna Vetter and StartUps/businesses Lelia KoenigSebastian Lange moderated by the wonderful Leah Schrimpf.
🍊 Eva Faenger told me: don't be satisfied with Mentoring and working on yourself. Get a Sponsor and work towards your next Promotion.
🍊 Barbara Lutz made me realize that there's a name for the undertones I get from some people: unconscious bias.
🍊 Lelia Koenig founded her Startup 3 years ago and she needs all her wits about her because her suppliers don't take her seriously.
🍊 Anna Riecken sees that diversity is a huge factor for investors: diverse teams and companies are more successful and more attractive to Investors.
My generation of women is loud, proud and has clear sense of Justice ⚖️ But we stand on the shoulders of giantesses: I appreciate so much the women, who have paved our way to more equality in the workforce these past decades. Thanks 🙏
Pink washing or Pink Power: I am seeing how my women's networks are expanding and getting powerful. I just know that today I am meeting the Leaders of tomorrow. How lucky I am! 🚀

Last Friday, we threw an epic picnic lunch in our backyard to celebrate International Women's Day! Here's a peek into our day:
💎 Icebreaker Session: We kicked things off with some hilarious icebreaker questions to get to know each other better.
💬 Open Dialogue: Honest conversations flowed as we shared personal experiences, discussing the challenges faced by women in the tech industry and beyond. From past workplaces to our experiences at Kaizen, we shared stories and insights. Plus, our curious male teammate joined in, adding some spice to the mix with his eager questions!
💡 Creative Brainstorm: We explored our '1/9' slogan (each of us being 1 of the 9 women at Kaizen) and shared some market insights. We also tossed around some awesome ideas for our future projects.
This day was more than just a celebration; it was about cultivating a culture of learning, sharing, and empowerment. We're happy to keep the momentum going and continue supporting the amazing women of Kaizen!
