On Founding the Mars Society at Thunderbird:
Having been in the space industry for over a decade, where I occupied roles at both technical and managerial levels, I recognized the need to create a club at Thunderbird. This club primarily focuses on fostering the importance and showcasing the vast opportunities in the space sector to management and business students. Space does not belong only to engineers and scientists; no
matter your background, you can find your place in space. Space is for everyone. We decided to partner with the Mars Society. We also are open to partnering with other space institutions and clubs to advance these initiatives to a broader audience and stakeholders respectively. As an extension of The Mars Society, we're dedicated to educating the public, media, and policymakers on the benefits of exploring Mars and the necessity of a sustainable human presence there. As mentioned earlier, this chapter also focuses on highlighting the growing opportunities in the global space industry. We can also play a vital role in workforce development in the space sector. Follow us for more & stay connected with the industry's brightest minds. Together, we'll conquer the final frontier of business! 🌌👩🚀

Yes, unless a space mission specialist can overcome his/her own misguided and negative thoughts, no mission can ever be accomplished. Nowhere is more demanding on one's consciousness and core purpose than being alone in #space. Learning to be positive, open and receptive to new opportunities and options are fundamental to having a strong and grounded development in #leadership and self-confidence.
Prof. Gregg L., a Zen Practitioner; and Dr. Cecilia Leung, a professional developer of young leaders, shall work with each participant to hone their thinking and conscious thoughts. Using #IKIGAI, a Japanese secret to a long and happy life, the training team will work with this select group and help these youths ground their career aspirations on becoming a #SpaceMissionSpecialist.

NASA's Curiosity Mars Rover Explores Gediz Vallis Channel: 360 Degree View | JPL
FriendsofNASA.org: Drag your mouse or move your phone to explore this 360-degree panorama provided by NASA’s Curiosity Mars rover. This view was captured within Gediz Vallis channel. It was likely formed by ancient floodwaters and landslides. After Curiosity drove over a bright stone and cracked it open, scientists discovered it was filled with pure sulfur. It has never been seen on Mars before. (The rover has discovered lots of sulfur-based minerals in the past, but not pure sulfur). In the video, a separate image of the sulfur crystals appears embedded roughly where the rock was found; the camera’s view of the rock was blocked by the rover at the time this panorama was taken.
You will also see Curiosity’s robotic arm. It is raised after drilling its 41st hole at a location nicknamed “Mammoth Lakes.” The sample collected by Curiosity was dropped into instruments in its belly, and will help scientists understand how this area formed.
The rover used its Mast Camera, or Mastcam, to take this panorama on June 19, 2024, the 4,220th Martian day, or sol, of the mission. It is made up of 336 individual images that were stitched together. The color has been adjusted to match lighting conditions as the human eye would see them on Earth.
Note on best viewing: Not all browsers support 360-degree videos. YouTube supports playback on computers using Chrome, Firefox, MS Edge, and Opera browsers. Curiosity Rover Explores Gediz Vallis Channel (360 View)
"SpaceX will never be successful." That didn't age well.
We just passed the 10 year anniversary of this lecture/statement and he couldn't have been more wrong.
Being an expert doesn't mean you are always right, even in your domain of expertise. And you will likely be challenged when bold new ideas come to be.
When I was a Master's student at University of Michigan College of Engineering, a lecturer told our class that SpaceX would never be successful. Luckily, we have the lecture on video so you don't have to take my word for it.
Check out the 39 minute mark of this video, in particular: https://lnkd.in/gBvYFPx2
Remember, this was in 2014, many years before SpaceX was a household name. (It's a household name even in non-nerdy households now, right?)
Hearing an expert saying that the ambitious company I had my sights set on wasn't going to be successful didn't dampen my belief in the work being done at SpaceX, nor did it stop me from joining them for internships and full time after graduation.
I've made a habit of setting my sights on the stars despite pushback from naysayers in life and in business. Now, as a co-founder of AdAstra Talent Advisors, I get to partner with leaders who are forging ahead on brilliant paths even when their outcomes are uncertain (and with their fair share of naysayers, too).
If you've ever pushed back on something that resulted in a big win, or you've been a naysayer who was proved wrong and are brave enough to tell us more, I'd love to hear about it in the comments. These stories are great reminders that individually and collectively, we won't accomplish groundbreaking things if we're deterred by resistance.

Who is wearing the corporate glasses that help you bring clarity to your vision ?
No one ?
In 2023 some 75% of executive teams admit their vision is blurry and out of focus.
But they’re still trying to hit a moving target at pace.
Probability… Very low very low
But what if you could get a new perspective?
Just like the Overview Effect experienced by astronauts viewing Earth from space, zooming out and seeing your business from orbit can give you a new clarity of vision.
It takes time, but fine-tuning your purpose and painting a new future can make all the difference.
Don't let your vision be fuzzy - clear things up before the race begins in 2024.
That's why we provide the powerful & reliable new glasses.
It’s sucks to miss the target over and over.
Think about how your team feels!
❤️💯✅🏁. I’m looking to give away two visioning workshops before Christmas.

2024: The Year of Being Intentional
It's that time of year when many of us look back and review the past twelve months - some even write about it here. And as I had a year full of notable changes, I'll probably do the same at some point.
But I woke up this morning thinking about 2024 and I wondered: "If there was one thing I could wish for in the new year, what would it be?"
In a flash of rare clarity, it came to me that I wanted to be more intentional in the new year. Not that I haven't been in the past, but this year I want to be more rigorous in selecting my direction, goals and actions.
Spend more time consciously choosing what I did/didn't do, what to learn, where to go, who to meet and hang with, who to help and support.
The thought being: Through more intentionally choosing what I did, with whom and why, the more value I could add in my small circle of influence.
And then I thought: If we could all do this - even just a little bit, maybe 5-10 minutes a day, we could all actually affect some positive change in our lives and in the lives of those around us.
I know many of you here work hard in your daily lives to do good and help make the world a better place on a big scale - and I fully salute you for that.
But I also find that spending a few minutes each day thinking about what we do on a small scale - and putting those thoughts into action, can also make a huge difference.
So my wish to everybody in 2024 is to be more intentional every day; think about what you are doing and why - and maybe make a little bit of time to help somebody close to you. It does make a difference.
Happy New Year everybody - may 2024 be your Year of Being Intentional as well.
