Geoff’s work to measure lower limb orthotic outcomes has an interesting application: used well, survey tools like the OPRO-M can mitigate patient resentment toward their devices. Resentment poisons many patient-provider relationships in lower limb orthotics, and can make everything an uphill battle for the orthotist. Oddly, it’s a much bigger obstacle in orthotics than it is in prosthetics. Use these tools!
