Epic's new Project Avalanche looks like the closest thing to recreating what I loved about Flash: Real-time 2D/3D/vector graphics with a powerful timeline, blend modes, motion tools and more. Avalanche is already being used in TV broadcasts, and I could see this bringing a big boost to Unreal Engine in the experiential installation space, especially for content- and UI-focused experiences. Very excited to try this out, hopefully with UE 5.4. https://lnkd.in/g_QB-YGY

Using tap or hold feature inside the action binding section produces features that so long time gamer players have experience one in particular would be the test your might mini game in MK. We can now use the same resources to control the strength of jump on a sphere. #Unity #softwaredeveloper #gamedeveloper #unitydeveloper #experience #madewithunity #UnityInputSystem #unitydevelopment #unity3d #unity2d https://lnkd.in/gwA98EFr

I always liked color imensely. I just love how color makes the world more interesting. My apartment is decorated in bright primaries; when I cook, I choose ingredients as much for their color as for their taste, and I pump up the color filters on Instagram for vivid effects even if they are unrealistic. The way colors *work* is also fascinating: how magenta is in our brains and not in nature, how colors can make us feel, how to mix colors in paint and light (and chemicals!), how we can use the relationships in colors to structure an image. (You can read an old article I co-wrote about the use of colors in Games here https://lnkd.in/ewm6f-_Y .) As a programmer, I was also very interested in how colors can be chosen procedurally (way back, inspired by Tiny Wings, to this day one of the best examples). This led me to explore various algorithms, which I wrote about long ago in https://lnkd.in/eEtyUdMi . And the ideas there eventually became the Colors asset we built at Gamelogic, shown in the video here.
This video shows some of the color nodes in action. This is a great way to add coherent colors procedurally to a game. Check out Color in the Unity Asset store: https://lnkd.in/eZJ4qUhW Besides the palette generation, there is extensive color parsing support, and support for mixing and gradients in HSL and LAB color spaces.

I am very excited to explore the fascinating world of Project Avalanche after watching the captivating Jonathan Winbush video! This innovative project is bound to have a significant impact. The impressive real-time graphic control, powered by Unreal, is undeniably a game changer. It combines the best features of AE and Cinema 4D, but takes it to a whole new level with its cutting-edge real-time graphics capabilities. I am eagerly anticipating the release of Project Avalanche, as I can't wait to experience it firsthand. Although the idea of Unreal adopting a subscription model for non-gaming projects may be a bit unsettling, I understand that it's all part of the ever-evolving nature of the business world. Have you had the chance to learn about Project Avalanche? I would love to hear your thoughts and discuss this exciting project further! #ProjectAvalanche #RealTimeGraphics #UnrealEngine #GameChanger #TechNews

Hello everyone! In this video, I will demonstrate how you can integrate the Yolov8 object recognition model with Unreal Engine 5. This will allow you to utilize Unreal Engine's graphics to gather realistic data and train an object detection model. You'll even be able to package it as a game.
