🌾 Farming Aggregates 🤝 Farming aggregates symbolize unity among individual farmers for specific activities like joint input purchases, equipment sharing, and marketing produce. They operate flexibly and informally, fostering short-term collaborations. 🌱 Farming Associations 🤝 Farming associations represent formal groups of farmers who unite voluntarily. Their focus encompasses advocacy, knowledge exchange, and capacity development. These associations create platforms for farmers to voice concerns and access vital information. 🤝 Cooperatives🌾 Cooperatives stand as legal entities operated by a collective of individuals, often farmers, who combine resources, skills, and efforts. Their shared objectives include marketing, purchasing, processing, and accessing financial services. 🔍 Confused about these farming structures? Don't worry! Join us at the upcoming Inter-Regional Agricultural Symposium (IRAS) in Lesotho, where we'll clarify these concepts. This event brings together agricultural enthusiasts to discuss and strategize ways to enhance food security, empower farmers, and create a thriving agricultural sector. Your insights and collaboration are invaluable in shaping a prosperous future for smallholder farmers across Africa. See you at IRAS! 🌍🌾🚜 #IRAS2023 #AgriculturalSymposium #FarmersUnite #agricultureandfarming REGISTER FOR IRAS IN LESOTHO https://lnkd.in/dNfYeN5u https://lnkd.in/dNm9NqdQ

Agritourism is such an important part of keeping farming sustainable financially.
Not all country kids growing up on farms want to be #farmers. Diversifying the farm business into tourism can give the next generation more reasons to stay on the land. With 5% growth in demand for agritourism experiences forecasted by the CSIRO, there's quite a lot of reasons right there! Thanks for the coverage in SA's Yorke Peninsula Times, Rachel Hagan. Have you ever wondered how to build a greenhouse? Today you have the opportunity to see from a drone view how the structure is erected, or what is the same, the skeleton of this project of 1.5 hectares of technified greenhouses that J. Huete Greenhouses has designed and is now building in Mexico. The aim of these greenhouses is to bring to the market one of the most profitable strawberries on the continent, that is, cheaper to produce but at the same time with maximum quality. Is it possible? Of course: for that it is important to use hydroponic methods. In this case, hydroponic growing systems with a metal gutter hanging from the greenhouse will provide hygiene, cleanliness and the ability to recycle water and fertilizers. Do you know how much this grower will save? Well, around 80% in both irrigation and fertilizers. Reducing costs and increasing profits... what result do you get? 😜
We continue to work on this project of technified greenhouses for strawberry production using hydroponic methods: ➡️High quality ➡️Great taste ➡️Reduced costs ➡️Very high yield ➡️Free of diseases and pests We have flown a drone over the structure so that you can see how these greenhouses are born, synonymous with progress and economic, social and business development.
