Happy 2021!! It's been a couple of years since I started my journey with American Express. We are going through unprecedented times as covid19 impacted both our work and our culture. Most of the corporate world is still working from home since last February, and, working in the Finance industry we had a ton of workload last year. There were many times that we had to design, develop and deploy the changes into production within 24-48 hours. We, as a team, made it through successfully and delivered!! I have to thank a few of my FT team Siddartha Jyothi, Aishwarya Singh and especially our director Lisa Podvoiskis. While everyone in the Fast Track team worked day and night to deliver those covid19 related changes quickly, she made sure that all of her team members were having a work-life balance; ensuring that we take time to relax and rejuvenate and have a proper sleep to maintain good health. I’m thankful for Lisa Podvoiskis giving the amount of freedom to collaborate with cross-functional teams, the liberty to make decisions, and the inspiration to drive forward. It’s been a year I have started working at American Express! The overall team had 30 members then and now it’s become a 55 member team! That’s just an understatement, if we consider all the teams in the environment, it’s about 250 people. I’ve learned so much from my peers especially working under my director Ms. Lisa Podvoiskis. Lisa PodvoiskisIt is a proud feeling, she has been an inspirational leader and a great motivation to the team! Simply to explain about her : she guided us in the right direction to deliver our project within the timelines even though the effort was huge and complex! I have always felt appreciated in this team. Me and my team delivered the Global proactive line increase strategy and framework upgrade for 11 markets and it will have a great impact for cardmembers. We had excellent support from the other teams involved in this great success; true collaboration within the cross functional teams!! The above picture explains the hard work we put in and now is the celebration time for us!! Yay!! Today from the bottom of my heart I feel more proud to say that I’m also a part of this team and looking forward to be part of more future projects!!
