Online Donations: The easiest way to contribute is through their online giving platform. Just visit https://buff.ly/3N5yn78 and follow the simple donation process. Mail a Check: If you prefer, you can also mail a check directly to United Way at their office address. Be sure to mention 'Community Compassion Challenge' in the memo line. In-Person Donations: Some local businesses and community centers might be hosting donation boxes for United Way. Dropping your contribution there is also a great way to help.

As National Donate Life Month approaches, I find myself deeply reflective and overwhelmingly grateful. This month isn't just a period on the calendar; it's a profound celebration of life, a time to honor the selfless donors and their families whose decisions have made life possible for many, including myself. I am here today, able to share this message, because of an extraordinary act of kindness—a decision made by a donor and their family during an unimaginably difficult time. Their generosity gave me a second chance at life, and words cannot express the depth of my gratitude. They are heroes in the truest sense, embodying compassion and selflessness. National Donate Life Month is an opportunity for us all to recognize and appreciate the gift of life that organ donation represents. It's a time to celebrate the lives saved, to acknowledge the ongoing need for organ donors, and to inspire others to consider becoming a part of this life-affirming process. Becoming an organ donor is a simple yet impactful decision. By registering as a donor, you have the power to save up to eight lives through organ donation and enhance many more through tissue donation. Moreover, living donation offers another profound opportunity to change lives, allowing individuals to donate a kidney or a part of the liver to someone in need. If you've ever considered becoming a donor—whether living or at the end of life—I encourage you to take the next step. Learn more, talk with your family, and register your decision. Your choice to become an organ donor can turn a time of loss into a time of hope for others. In this month of celebration and reflection, let's spread awareness, share our stories, and continue to build a legacy of generosity and hope. Together, we can save lives and honor those who have made our second chances possible. #NationalDonateLifeMonth #CelebrateLife #OrganDonation #LivingDonation #DonateLife
We are getting excited for National Donate Life Month! 💙💚✨ Join us in celebrating life and generosity, educating about the #DonateLife cause and the importance of registering to be a donor, and honoring the donors and donor families who make LIFE possible. We made a #DonateLifeMonth calendar with key dates and ways you can participate throughout April. Thank you all for being an incredible Donate Life community! Chief Program Officer at Charity Navigator | Nonprofit Executive and Champion | Passionate about Impact
As you know, I work for @CharityNav, and we’ve been hearing reports from non-profits in our network that charitable giving is down 20-30% from last year. There are so many causes that need support, from poverty to global health to climate issues. If you haven’t already, consider making a year-end donation through our Giving Basket to help charities in our community close this donation gap! https://bit.ly/41DouDC If you need some giving ideas, please check out our recommended charities lists. https://lnkd.in/gUPbTMum I donated this year to the Global Poverty https://lnkd.in/ggRcq4uN and the Climate Change Lists https://lnkd.in/gYhhKJkt. Tis the season for experiencing AND giving Christmas cheer. If you are still looking for a way to give to our neighbors in need, Community West has three easy ideas to give this holiday season: 1) Make a one-time or recurring donation to our community impact fund, 2) Donate $10 to Socks+ to provide ten pairs of socks to those who don’t have them, 3) Volunteer your time with one of Community West’s grant recipients. According to an analysis released yesterday in conjunction with a project called BIG JOY, people who engage in daily acts of #kindness or #gratitude experience a lift in emotional well-being, positive emotions like hope and optimism, become happier and have improved relationships. This #nationalphilanthropyday, what act can you do that will lift your spirits? Need an idea? Check out how you can help your community through your local DG store below! (More on the Big Joy project: https://lnkd.in/gA7k3rs6)
From DG’s Feeding America partnership to our St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Thanks and Giving campaign, this #nationalphilanthropyday we celebrate the many ways our teams exhibit the Company’s mission of #ServingOthers. For the upcoming holiday season, join us in exhibiting kindness as we collect toys for local nonprofits to distribute to children in need at each of our ~20,000 stores through December 8. Dollar General is here for what matters and will also be donating $100,000 to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
