💡 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸/𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆:
🇸🇦 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐚 (𝐊𝐒𝐀):
• Exports of indigenous Irish companies to KSA surpassed the €200m mark where exports grew by +10% in FY23.
• KSA has many giga projects in play including #Vision2030, #Expo2030 and the #FIFAWorldCup in 2034.
• Real estate consultancy firm Knight Frank indicated KSA is on track to become the world’s largest construction market, with its total construction output value expected to reach $181.5 billion by 2028.
• This growth would represent an increase of nearly 30% from 2023 levels, when over $140 billion worth of construction contracts were awarded.
• Global consultancy group Turner & Townsend revealed Riyadh is the Middle East’s most expensive city to build in, with costs averaging $2,593 per square meter.
• By 2030, the Kingdom aims to deliver over 660,000 housing units, 320,000 hotel keys, 5.3 million square meters of retail space, and 6.1 million square meters of office space.
🇦🇪 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐛 𝐄𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬:
• Exports of indigenous firms to UAE grew by +21% in FY23.
• In 2023, we saw a total of 201 Enterprise Ireland clients exports to UAE, boosted by strong economic growth of 3.7% in 2023 and forecasts of c.4% in 2024 highlights the opportunity.
• Dubai Economic Strategy “D33” is in full operation and reaching many of the outlined objectives.
• The UAE has climbed 3 international places to secure the 7th position in the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking 2024. This positions the UAE among the top 10 in over 90 main and sub-indicators of global competitiveness.
