Multi-point Ron CraneMaster system used on the Boeing Starliner spacecraft. Boeing's Crew Space Transportation (CST)-100 Starliner spacecraft is being developed in collaboration with NASA's Commercial Crew Program. The Starliner was designed to accommodate seven passengers, or a mix of crew and cargo, for missions to low-Earth orbit. For NASA service missions to the International Space Station, it will carry up to four NASA-sponsored crew members and time-critical scientific research. Terran Orbital Corporation awarded up to $45 million IDIQ by NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration to support space technology advancement Terran Orbital Corporation announced being awarded an Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a $45 million ceiling value with NASA’s Space Technology Mission Directorate. The Directorate is comprised of NASA’s Flight Opportunities program and the Small Spacecraft Technology program. The five-year agreement enables Terran Orbital to provide space vehicles and payload integration services for a variety of missions. How are things on Mars? Check with MSR-ERO mission 🌌 The MSR campaign, a joint effort between NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration and European Space Agency - ESA aims to bring Mars soil samples back to Earth. Since October 2023 Alessandro Masat from our Flight Dynamics team has been supporting ESA, focusing on ensuring the safety and robustness of the return trajectory. This mission represents a massive engineering challenge, requiring close coordination between multiple missions from both ESA and NASA. It is not just designing a safe return trip from Mars; another challenge is to make sure those samples remain uncontaminated by Earth materials. In July 2024 ERO has reached a key design maturity milestone. The successful completion of the Platform Critical Design Review allows the spacecraft to move forward into the manufacturing and testing phases, marking significant progress in the mission's complex interplanetary objectives. A glimpse of our HyperScout H undergoing vibration testing at the payload level! ✅ Recently, our shoebox-sized imager has achieved significant milestones: it has been delivered to European Space Agency - ESA, integrated into the OHB SE satellite, and is currently undergoing environmental testing at the spacecraft level. A series of important tests to ensure that our instrument will function correctly in space. 🌌 HyperScout H is one cosine's state-of-the-art #hyperspectral imagers.
