Every successful business starts with a dream, a vision, and a choice. The WH Bass family has been very blessed, as we celebrate our 40th anniversary today because of the dream, vision, and choice that Carl Herndon made 40 years ago. He had a dream to be an entrepreneur. He had a vision to be a servant leader and see construction done different, as a partnership not a transaction. And finally, he had the courage to make a choice to leave the comforts of an established company. He bet on himself to make a positive impact on anyone who Bass came into contact with. Since those humble beginnings in 1984, Bass has now converted to an ESOP and Carl’s legacy of entrepreneurship and servant leadership is alive and well in all of our team members who are now the company’s owners. Thank you to all of our customers, subcontractors, our team members, their spouses and suppliers who have all been a part of this 40 year journey.
