Those who rise from the base with their efforts can empathize and keep on working for the masses even when they have risen high above that level. Kudos to Wahaj Bhai for leading this from the front. It's strange to see that our perpetually clasped handed other leaders of the industry are not here to stand together and lend support to the cause of opposing the unjust hike.
More power to you, Wahaj Siraj sahib. At least you stood up and raised your voice for the segment most impacted. Those in the corridors of power may be confident that this movement will fizzle out, but they don't realize that the undercurrents are getting stronger and the people of Pakistan are becoming more accustomed to raising their voices. Today, I saw that the protests against the Kenya Finance Bill have yielded positive results, with Ruto agreeing to spending cuts amidst growing concerns. The people of Kenya are now demanding that the President steps down, a demand I believe is legitimate. Enough is enough! My comments are purely personal and do not reflect the views of the companies or businesses I am associated with.
It's natural for someone, who has never participated in a protest and never get themselves recorded to shy in the face of camera. It does not mean that he/she is doing this for fun and don't need financial arrangements. Easiest thing now a days is to leave a negative comment from the comfort of your home, sitting in your chair. Sir Wahaj Siraj My two cents on tax deduction from employer: Employer should deduct minimum tax after asking the employee about their income tax deducted from other sources...e.g. electricity bill, internet bill, telephone bill, car token tax etc. Although extra withholding tax is refundable through FBR, it's not as smooth as it sounds. Once you ask for a refund, you are put through strict audit and are forced to pay instead of refund. That's how the agents handling you are trained. Therefore, deduct less tax at source so that refundable tax becomes zero for salaried class at the time of filing.

Fully support this just cause! What did/do we get in return for continuously funding/supporting the lavish lifestyles of the incompetent governments, corrupt politicians, public servants and their cronies? They’re all leaches, sucking the resources out of this nation, and the hard-earned money of it’s law abiding / tax paying citizens.

1moGreat initiative Wahaj Siraj. I believe it has to continue, even for 5 or 10 minutes but every salaried individual needs to participate, not only in Islamabad but across the country. Secondly, along with putting up our case for a tax reduction we also need to have them consider the expenses one has to incur to feed their families. We are paying direct and indirect taxes and yet there's no benefit, if someone is unemployed or gets sick. The lawmakers need to cut their expenses, lower down their benefits, increase the tax net, catch the culprits, give a fixed stipend to a taxpayer who is unemployed, free or subsidized health facilities in government and private hospitals, eductaion ... and the list will go on.
