These units, operated by skilled nonprofit professionals, have already significantly impacted Northwest Arkansas, offering essential services like hot meals, clean laundry, hot showers, and charging stations with Wi-Fi.   Walmart's proactive approach, driven by a strong sense of corporate responsibility, provides immediate relief and strengthens community resilience, demonstrating the power of businesses in action.   This is a prime example of how companies can make a meaningful difference and build stronger connections with the communities they serve.    As businesses, if we promote initiatives that help communities thrive, we contribute to those communities' social and economic well-being, build a more substantial, loyal base, and create a positive impact that enhances our corporate reputation. #business #community #companies #RSE #social #responsibility

As many of us know, Hurricane Idalia made landfall early Wednesday on Florida’s Gulf Coast as a Category 3 storm (130 mph winds). It was powerful hurricane to make landfall in the Big Bend region in more than 125 years.    The storm has caused higher than normal water levels in some areas and has left over 300,000 customers in Florida and Georgia without power.   Due to the collaborative and proactive nature of our corporate and nonprofit partners, Good360 is able to help local nonprofits with typically needed items like shelter, tarps, tents, and many others, to help the most vulnerable survivors get the resources and shelter needed in the early stages of recovery. We call it prepositioning, and it's an essential component of our response in disaster recovery. We have prepositioned products and resources in Jacksonville, Ft. Myers, West Palm Beach, Miami, as well as Atlanta, GA. Items are stored in our network of nearly 30 shared warehouses strategically in areas likely to be impacted.  Over the next few days, governmental and nonprofit organizations will begin to conduct damage assessments and share more information about actual product gaps to determine what is needed. It's the strongest hurricane to make landfall in the Big Bend region, the nook between the panhandle and peninsula, in more than 125 years.
