Every night, I check on the kids to ensure they haven't kicked their blankets off their beds. As I do so and gaze at their peaceful, innocent faces (quite different from their daytime selves), I always feel a pang of regret, thinking I could have been a better dad. I should have done better. Yet, the next day, I often find myself repeating the same mistakes, failing to live up to the father I want to be for my kids. After numerous setbacks and repeated failures, I developed an analysis and framework that truly helped me stay on the right track, rather than derail. Today, I'm going to share this valuable framework with you. I hope it can assist you in becoming a better dad than you were yesterday, or at the very least, inspire you to become 1% better each day. Our Mind and Soul Anatomy: You become what you eat, and the same applies to your mind and soul. If you feed your mind with positivity, your soul will radiate positivity. Conversely, if your mind is filled with hate, jealousy, and selfishness, your soul will be influenced by these negative qualities and output the corresponding behaviour and life choice. The soul is often associated with the seat of emotions, consciousness, and the moral and ethical dimensions of a person, which can be described as 'output.' The mind, on the other hand, encompasses the cognitive aspects of a person, such as thoughts, reasoning, decision-making, and consciousness, which you can 'input' into yourself. So how do we apply this to our daily life?
