Over the next twenty years, it is estimated that over $80 trillion will be transferred to rising generations. This was a thought-provoking conversation that touched on the intersection of statelessness with patriarchy, sex discrimination, and climate disasters. Very important considerations about how accessing basic human rights is often contingent on having a nationality, and how governments are using statelessness as a weapon to marginalize and exclude certain groups. The upcoming Global Movement Against Statelessness, which has core commitment to upholding the leadership of stateless people, will be one to watch.
