The #MAX3387E 3V powered TIA/EIA-232 and V.28/V.24 is a communications interface with low power require- ments, high data-rate capabilities, and enhanced elec- trostatic discharge (ESD) protection. The MAX3387E has three receivers and three transmitters. All RS-232 inputs and outputs are protected to ±15kV using the IEC 1000-4-2 Air-Gap Discharge method, ±8kV using the IEC 1000-4-2 Contact Discharge method, and ±15kV using the Human Body Model. A proprietary low-dropout transmitter output stage enables true RS-232 performance from a +3.0V to +5.5V supply with a dual charge pump. The charge pump requires only four small 0.1μF capacitors for operation from a +3.3V supply. The MAX3387E is capa- ble of running at data rates up to 250kbps while main- taining RS-232 compliant output levels. The MAX3387E has a unique VL pin that allows interop- eration in mixed-logic voltage systems. Both input and output logic levels are pin programmable through the VL pin. The MAX3387E is available in a space-saving TSSOP package.

SAE PM-2 POWER MAESUREMENT Flexible and Efficient Measurement The extension board PM-2 allows costeffective measurement of relevant power values in low and medium voltage systems for monitoring the power supply and loads on the primary system. In addition, it offers the recording of several power quality parameters in accordance with DIN EN 50160 and provides basic data in accordance with ISO 50001. The PM-2 module is designed as an extension board of FW-5 and FW-5-GATE systems. It is plugged directly onto the TBUS of the RTU. Transformers, Rogowski-coil or sensor can be used for current measurement. In LV networks voltage measurement can be carried out directly in without needing further expensive equipment. All values are calculated directly in the module. Configuration is fully integrated into setIT: The converter ratios can be configured for each phase separately and the network parameters can be defined with just a few clicks. The measuring ranges, overvoltage and overcurrent are set in accordance to these settings, automatically. The relevant measured values can be selectable directly from the process image of the RTU. Further analytics such as limit value monitoring of the measured values or reporting/ archiving functions are possible.
