Here, on this platform more than any other, I see people promoting a way of life that, in an ideal situation, they themselves wouldn't choose. One realization I've come to is that we shouldn't build lives we don't actually enjoy. Sounds like common sense, right? So why have so many of us built self-imposed prisons and called them 'careers'? I think it's because it's so challenging to do otherwise. It takes creativity, bravery, and time - things that the majority of us quite frankly don't have because the system doesn't allow for them. We're in such a hurry to make money, advance, and build a life, that in the end we find we missed our true purpose and potential. Designing a life that's true to you can mean appearing to be wrong for years while watching colleagues and peers climb the proverbial career ladder. It's not easy. But guess what? Neither is getting to the 'top' only to realize you were climbing the wrong ladder the entire time. Be deliberate about designing the life and lifestyle that YOU want, not what society tells you you should want. You only get one life, and in the end, you alone have to live with the choices you've made. Not anyone else.

Absolutely agree! It's all too common to see people chasing after what society expects of them rather than what truly makes them happy. Building a life you actually enjoy is not only a matter of common sense but also essential for long-term fulfillment. The pressure to conform to traditional career paths can be overwhelming, but it's worth taking the time to reflect on what truly matters to you. Embracing creativity, bravery, and self-awareness can lead to a life that aligns with your values and aspirations. I've found that when you're doing something you're passionate about, it doesn't feel like work, and success often follows. It's a journey that may involve detours and setbacks, but the destination is so much more rewarding when it's a life you've intentionally designed. Thank you for sharing this important reminder to be true to ourselves and prioritize our own happiness and fulfillment. 🌟"

100% agree with this train of thought. To be happy is to come to self realization through the journey of self introspection only you can achieve. Life is not a one shoe size fit all and what makes another happy in his pursuit to the top might crumble another. Therefore, it's imperatively desirable to stick to what you feel is right regardless of external pressures and reap the benefits in due time. Thanks Weh'yee Barkon for this insightful post.

All the answers we need are within ourselves, it’s a matter of learning how to listen and act upon that knowledge. There’s nothing worse than resisting changes that your body and your mind are telling you to make. Of course, that’s within the constraints we have but there’s always space for improvement.

I agree with you, Weh'yee Barkon , most people wish they had a life they do not have the courage to make the necessary changes required to create it. This road is not for the faint-hearted, but it's worth it. Thanks, Bro.
