We are excited to present Lion’s 2023 Sustainability Report 🥳 Join us on our sustainability journey as we work to strengthen the resilience of the communities we operate within, champion responsible use of our products, and ensure we have positive impact on the environment now and for generations to come. Here are just some of the highlights below:   🍃 The achievement of our near-term Science Based Target, 7 years ahead of schedule; we have reduced our Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by 64% (58,016 tonnes CO2-e level surpassing our reduction target of 55% by 2030). 🌎 With our 100% renewable power purchase agreements (PPA) in QLD and NSW, we have reduced Scope 2 emissions by over 99.9%. ♻️ The proportion of recycled content in our packaging is now 71.8%. 👬 We broadened our human rights approach and re-affirmed our commitment to Reconciliation by launching our Innovate RAP.   🤝 We increased our spend with Indigenous partners through our work with Dundee Rock. 🍻 Our Responsible consumption education program Alcohol&Me celebrated its 10 year anniversary in New Zealand.  👩🏽🔬 Over the past six years, Lion has maintained a <1% difference in pay competitiveness for ‘like for like’ roles. 🦁 We overachieved our corporate volunteering target thanks to our people and their relentless energy to make a difference in the community.   See our full Sustainability Report here: https://lnkd.in/dEeJFEuV

Today Ryman released its first Sustainability Report showcasing key advancements made since the launch of our sustainability strategy in late 2022. This closely follows the recent validation of our greenhouse gas emissions targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). As outlined in our strategy, we grouped our material issues under three core pillars – Our Places, Our People and Our Purpose – with an initial focus on three key priorities: climate change, quality care and indigenous engagement. Executive Chair Dean Hamilton said: “Our commitment to sustainability is essential on our journey to build climate-resilient villages that are well placed for generations to come and a business that delivers sustainable value for our shareholders and all of our stakeholders into the future.” Ryman will publish its first climate-related disclosure as required by the New Zealand External Reporting Board in its FY24 Annual Report in June.
