It was great to be able to host this morning’s Sustainable Business Council NZ breakfast in our Takutai Square offices. Westpac NZ Senior Sustainability Manager Social Impact Sum Green hosted a panel discussion with Kaitiaki Collective's Alyx Pivac, thinkstep-anz's Barbara Nebel and the Sustainable Business Council’s Jay C. The speakers dug into the topic “sustainability is a team sport” and there was a lot of great conversation around how organisations can advance their sustainability work, how to ground practices authentically in te ao Māori, and how to demystify sustainability to support people to take action. As Alyx Pivac said, “Sustainability is living in harmony with the environment and the people you’re around.” Thanks to everyone who came along! Huge thank you to Westpac New Zealand for hosting us this morning, to the presenters for sharing your māramatanga, and to all the attendees for making the effort to join us (despite the early hour⏰). Wonderful to see so many new and familiar faces!
