I am grateful Mr. Ford would allow us to recognize him in this way. We launched this special recognition to call attention to leaders who have over a long career built successful businesses but also have prioritized doing life the right way and treating people and community with the upmost respect. He’s a leader we can all admire. If you would like to see the full remarks from his part of the program, here’s the link. It’s definitely worth a view:

Congrats! I had the pleasure of working with the Fords back in the day and they were incredible leaders! The wireless business is not the same without them.

Winds of change in specialty chemicals distribution ! With the outgoing CEO´s of Azelis, Barentz and IMCD three executives leave who have transformed companies into industry leaders and benchmarks. I am sure, the successors will write interesting next chapters in company history. My best wishes to Anna Bertona, Valerie Diele-Braun and Peter Boone
Today we announce a significant transition in our leadership team. After more than two decades of exceptional leadership, CEO Hidde van der Wal will be embarking on his retirement. Hidde's dedication and visionary guidance have been instrumental in transforming Barentz from a regional leader into the global player it is today.
We are pleased to introduce our new CEO, Peter F. Boone who will officially start on October 1, 2023. Peter brings a wealth of significant leadership experience. His impressive background includes leadership roles at Unilever and Barry Callebaut Group where he excelled in driving growth, championing innovation and sustainability. He is excited to continue navigating Barentz’s strategic direction, serving our principals and customers.
Join us in thanking Hidde for his outstanding contributions and welcoming Peter as we venture into the next phase of our growth journey.

I was privileged to join the The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company's distinguished speaker series as a part of their #BlackHistoryMonth gathering hosted by the Goodyear Black Network. The discussion was moderated by my former colleague and friend, senior vice president and chief communications officer, Laura Duda. Though we’re not related, it was also wonderful getting to meet and hear from RaJohn Butler.
Throughout the dynamic conversation we discussed how individuals can, regardless of their roles, work to advance a more diverse and inclusive workplace. I shared that one of the simplest but most effective ways we can do to advance DEI in the workplace is to take the time to get to know our coworkers. When we welcome the opportunity to connect, not only can our outlooks change but so can our outputs. At all levels of business, having a mindset of inclusivity and being able to embrace diverse voices and perspectives is critical. Advancing the DEI work we do here at Exelon through every level of our business plays a critical role in our ability to deliver safe, reliable, and equitable energy to our communities.
Although Black History Month provides a chance to delve into subjects that benefit the Black community through meaningful discussions, DEI remains significant to our business year-round. For us, it’s a core value and not just a business strategy. We need to reflect the communities that we serve, not only in our entry-level teams but at the executive-level as well. We’re clear that anyone who works for Exelon is required to demonstrate these values, and it’s my job to be a model of that behavior. That means standing up for the values we represent and staying true to them despite ever shifting climate around us.
Thank you again to the Goodyear Black Network for inviting me to join this discussion. I’m honored to have been a part of this series.
Today, the Goodyear Black Network hosted a great conversation with President and CEO of Exelon Calvin Butler, moderated by GBN Executive Sponsor Laura Duda.
Our final Black History Month signature event was a lively and engaging discussion that reflects Goodyear’s commitment to an inclusive culture where diverse perspectives are valued.
Thank you, Calvin, for sharing your unique career journey and insights on leadership and development, as well as many other topics that matter to our associates. You are an inspiration to #TeamGoodyear!
I was at Anheuser-Busch for years, and the debacle that occurred with Bud Light would have not taken place, most likely, with the previous leadership. We researched things carefully before jumping. Either it was a failure to understand the risks, or the advice was ignored. Both are preventable errors. But the advisor's own credibility should be considered too. Sometimes, the presentation of the advice hurts the perception of the quality of the advice because of the credibility of the counselor who delivers it. A rookie with no depth of experience just isn't going to get listened to on a serious matter.

Creating an inclusive workplace demands intentional time and focus for all of us, and I’m honored to be recognized in this category with so many amazing humans!
In case you need a reminder of how this impacts culture and actual business results, here are 3 great stats to share with your organizations!

2. According to a report by McKinsey, companies in the top quartile for gender diversity on executive teams are 21% more likely to outperform their industry peers in terms of profitability.
3. The Harvard Business Review reported that organizations with diverse and inclusive workplaces see higher employee engagement, increased employee retention, and improved productivity.
