Join us for a morning listening to some of the leading experts in Georgia and networking with your Infrastructure & Sustainability colleagues as we host our 3rd annual Infrastructure review and outlook with a focus on how we are building a more sustainable state. The U.S. government will spend more than $500 billion on climate technology and clean energy over the next decade under three significant infrastructure laws passed since 2021 (Inflation Reduction Act, CHIPS Act, and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act). Together they form an unprecedented US industrial policy with a focus on strategic industries and a set of tools designed to accelerate production up and down the supply chain. Their programs have the potential to be transformational for Georgia in the areas of infrastructure, energy, decarbonization, and sustainability to provide large opportunities for Georgia organizations and companies of all sizes. This is our 3rd annual Infrastructure outlook event and this year's focus is to both assess the current state and progress to date and look forward to the many opportunities and risks ahead. Date: Thursday, December 7, 2023 (7:30 AM - 9:30 AM) (EST), 848 Spring Street NW Atlanta 30308 Event registration link: https://lnkd.in/gNtv9P8N #technology #infrastructure #sustainability

🔵🔋🌍As the nation's largest energy consumer, the United States federal government plans to curb greenhouse gas emissions across its expansive portfolio of over 350,000 federal buildings. In a pioneering move, the Biden Administration and Department of Energy recently announced the Climate Smart Buildings Initiative. This initiative aims to upgrade federal buildings across the country with emerging and sustainable technologies in an effort to meet the Biden Administration's Federal Building Performance Standard, which sets an ambitious goal to cut energy use and electrify equipment and appliances in 30 percent of the building space owned by the Federal government by 2030. In this article, we delve deeper into the CSBI, illustrating how this initiative will facilitate an increase in public-private partnerships. #publicprivatepartnerships #renewableenergy
